Genesis Intell Asst App Never connects to Server

2022 Genesis GV70 purchased 3 mo ago. For past 3 months the App on my Iphone 12 running the latest OS always displays a message when I try to use the Genesis Intelligent App for Iphone--- "cannot connect to the server, busy , and if problem persists contact Genesis, which I have done but no resolution. They advise: we will esclate you ticket to engineering---and then the trail goes cold. Have deleted and reinstalled app and re entered correct user name and password but it never connects. If I try to control the vehicle via Genesis website, no problems. But App will not connect. No issues with the phone or any of my other apps, and latest version of their app is installed. Anyone have this problem or suggestions

The App is just awful. I cannot put more emphasis than that. It is a total shame. If I would have know, I would not have bought my GV70. As simple as that
 
Genesis should revamp their Connected services app to be more like BMW's. That one is so niceee.

And it doesn't take 10 years to remote start your BMW either from the app..

I do have same issue with app also with car. When I press microphone on the car screen it says can not connect to server.
Terrible app and server system.

Omg I agree SO much. The BMW app looks phenomenal.

Btw there is a bug with the POI button on the rearview mirror. It returns No server connection, Genesis Connected services is aware of it and they are working on it. Mine hasn't worked since at least December.

Do the phrases “they are working on it” and “hasn’t work since December “ really ring true? I can’t think of any issue that takes 3 months to resolve even if it is between Genesis and Google. If they really are working on it it must be at the very bottom of their priority list. Does anyone’s POI button on their mirror work on any year of any model?

For me it used to say No network response. But now recently I've been always getting "No service available in this area" when I press the POI button on the rearview mirror.

That's strange. I also have a 2019 G70 and I haven't had any issues with the nav/radio or the app. Although, it did fail to unlock the car one time. Remote start has always worked.

Am I just lucky? Probably not. I use an iPhone 11 with the latest OS (16.4) and have updated the car software as far as I can.

That being said, the app is pretty lame.

The app has been terrible for me recently, spins and spins at every command and doesnt connect to the car, says to call customer service. Or says the car hasn't started in days or not in service area. BS, the genesis connected services in the car always has full bars everywhere.

And yea also have the stupid POI button issue still. There's a generalized big GCS ticket as BBLO-222 for that issue.

Hmm odd. I can't get it to work here.. They really need to invest in their GCS server and network infrastructure. It's shit.

Also wish the app was more like the BMW interface. Looks much more modern..
 
Everyone with any model getting the Network Error should start a trouble ticket. Genesis is not going to make this a priority if they believe it only affects a few owners. Call Connected Services and EVERYONE LOG A TROUBLE TICKET. Wake them up.
