If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The turn signals of my Genesis were replaced with XP80 bulbs from Diode Dynamics.

They were $90.00/each for the front + rear pairs.

I decided to opt for the Red LEDs as most luxury vehicles use red for the rear and amber for the front.

Very nice!
I have often found pics don't do justice for these mods.
Anything that requires a bit of labor to change out such as the front head light housing I opt to leave it for last. i.e. replace dead bulbs.

Wedge bulbs weren't bad. I had to ask a friend to install the front turn signal bulbs.

Follow up post.

Installed resistors to the turn signals.

Do not have pictures but they have been soldered on (no crimping here) and properly insulated.

The only thing stopping me from installing LED indicators is that the yellow color easily gets washed out in daylight. I am thinking the red indicators work great day or night.
how is visibility during daylight operations?

Brighter than I expected. Does not wash out. The oem bulbs tend to wash out more than the ones I've installed.

Here's a video of my car with the hyperblink/resistors installed.

Do they blink hilariously fast without the resistors installed?

That hyper flash is going to give me a seizure. LOL.

Very neat mod by the way, thanks for going the extra mile with pics and video.

If I'm not mistaken, that is a safety feature to let you know you have a light bulb burned out. I have a 98 Durango that does exactly the same thing when a bulb burns out. I think your LEDs look like burned out light bulbs to the circuit doing the blinking.

That is correct.

Due to the much lower power draw of the LED bulbs, the computer thinks that it is burnt out. Adding resistors will resolve this issue. As well, because the resistors will only be active when the lights are on, they won't get hot.

Okay, update to this. Tried installing resistors to another 2009 4.6 Sedan but the wiring colours were all off.

The below is for the front turn signals. Should be doing the rears sometime next week so will report back.

You have to splice the resistors into the Top right and bottom left (If you are looking from the back where the wires come out) (Black and Red on the photo) to stop it from hyperflashing

Update 2:

Front Driver-side
-Red dot is the Blue wire with orange stripe.
- Black dot is the black wire.

Front Passenger-side
- Red dot is the red wire with orange stripe
- Black dot is the black wire

Rear is simple. There is only 2 wires so just splice into each one of them and you're set.

Hi,
I successfully replaced all the turn signals on my 2011 4.6 with LED. No wires cut.

I used these in the front - they have built in resistors.

The front flashers on the car use a dual filament bulb 1157 but the car only utilizes the bright filament.
The running light/park light filament is not used so the switchback function will not work on the Genesis bummer but the flasher definitely does with a rich orange color and is the brightest flasher I have ever seen. It is a mystery why Hyundai did not wire the running light filament, I guess they felt the sidemarker and parking light in high beams will suffice. The are parking lights in the high beam area I replaced w LEDs so its a nice white color rather than the halogen yellow. I did not change the sidemarker lights as I will have to remove the headlights and did not want to deal with that yet.
No hyperflash and extremely bright.

and these in the rear

from other LED conversions I have done with "built in resistor" bulbs once you get past 2 LEDs it tends to hyperflash so I added resistors in the back which is easy without cutting wires. They just screw in the sockets and you screw in the bulb. So I added resistor sockets with these.

This combination of resistors and bulbs has NO HYPERFLASH even after many minutes of signalling.
Sometimes the built in resistor bulbs will hyperflash after too long signalling fails safe overheat mode.
