  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Brought it home night before last and still trying to figure out all the tech.

Previous car was a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe (which I would have kept except for War Dept orders :( ).

Welcome! Bought the same car about 3 weeks ago.

Then you might have had the same problem as I have. I can't find out how to get rid of the nag screen on the nav system after starting the car.

The message says to press the 'enter' button but there is no button labeled 'enter' and pressing the map guide and the button next to it on the DIS doesn't seem to work.

Many thanks for any assistance! :D

I'm hoping this is a joke, but you just press down on the knob... which is the enter/select button. Actually, if it's not a joke it's almost ridiculous the dealership would have let you leave before at least going over some basic things like this. When I bought my car I couldn't get the salesman to let me leave. He showed me everything and told me what it did even though I told him I didn't need him to.

No joke, I assure you. And I thought I had tried that but will give it another shot. I assumed there had to be a simple solution but I hadn't found it yet. Still trying to get used to the DIS system after several years with the touchscreen system in the Santa Fe. So far the touchscreen system is a whole lot more intuitive and simpler (at least to me).

Thanks for the info!

Welcome to the madness. Great choice of color. ;)

I found that reading the manual helped a lot in trying to figure out the system. Usually I can just poke around a litte here and there and figure it out but this system took a little more effort, like reading the manual. Good luck.

Congrats. Read and study the manuals thoroughly, it will save you a lot of frustration and you will be happier with your car. it took my wife and I about two months to operate all the features without guessing. Also, it took about the same amount of time with our Mercedes.

When I first got my car home I went inside for awhile and then had to go to the store real quick and I ran into an issue where I couldn't get the warning screen to go away pressing the knob. I tried to turn the car off and back on a few times, but it didn't work so I just ignored it and figured I'd ask the dealer what was up when I went to drop the title for my old car off. In the next two days between me bringing it home and going to drop the title off I was able to get the warning screen to go away maybe 35% of the time. I showed the guy what I was doing and he was as surprised as I was so they had some tech guy come out from the back to look at it while I dealt with the guy about my title. Dude came back inside and said it was fine and didn't see a problem at all and ever since I haven't had an issue, but he says he did nothing. So it remains a mystery, it was suggested that I wasn't pressing down hard enough, but now even the slightest press will enter/select whatever is on the screen so I don't know.

Thanks for all the advice and guidance guys. Believe it or not I did read the manual and I also scanned the Internet to see if this was my issue or perhaps the car had one. I could not find anything in either source although in retrospect I may have overlooked a description that the "big knob" was, in fact, the "enter button". Serves me right.....I was looking for something with "enter" inscribed on it.

Now to go do battle with the HD radio. :D

The DIS manual is the more important one to study.
