  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wondering if anyone else (Gene owners) detects a hesitation when trying to get out into traffic. It is scary as hell when you step on the gas and the car feels like it is going to die and then picks up.
If you have to get into traffic, which I do every day, it is very worrisome.
I can't be the only one having this problem. The dealer says there is nothing wrong and can't find any problems.
It sure is a problem to me. I don't want to die by someone hitting me because the car decided to "balk".
Anyone ?

Thank you. I did search for hesitation but didn't find anything.
I guess I should have stated that my Genesis is 2014 with the V6.
It is a lease so I don't think I want to make changes to the engine but I will print the responses and the findings and bring them to the dealer which should be in a couple of weeks.
The one story I read about turning left and almost getting clobbered has also happened to me.
Thanks for directing me to the proper feeds.

My 2014 V-6 does the very same thing.
It is also a lease and I will not buy it nor lease another one.
Eighteen more months.
Yesterday it rolled over to 5900 miles.

The simple cure is to STOP stomping on the gas pedal. Apply foot pressure gradually and you will be fine. Don't floor it!

That's not a cure. That's treating the symptom. And it's no fun that way!! :p
