  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Six months of ownership and introduced my '15 5.0L Ultimate into a tree. Snow covered icy road and 90 degree unmarked corner at night. 60Km/hr (40mph) and slid off road, through snowbank and hit tree at about 50kph (30mph). Front end crushed, airbags blew. I was dazed and my glasses were on the floor of the car. Opened door and exited completely unharmed. Car sacrificed itself for me. Total write off. Now I know the value of a 5 star safety rating.

Just bought another one - exact same car, same color. Love the Genesis, best car I've ever owned, like it better than past BMW 750.

Take delivery next Tuesday. Hopefully better luck with this one.

WOW... Glad you walked away from that. Hats off to Hyundai for doing an awesome job on the safety features in our new rides. Makes those little things we gripe about like having to press the Auto Hold and Drive Mode buttons each and every time we hop in the car kind of a minute point after seeing this. :D...

:welcome: to the forum and hope you come back and post up pictures of your replacement car.

WOW. Glad you are ok. Looks like the tree took a good shot.

Welcome! Really glad you walked away okay from that.

Awesome!

Glad to hear you are okay. Sorry to hear of the accident.

I just bought a Genesis for my wife (who I am fond of), and this report is the kind of thing that makes me happy with my purchase.

I am a first time Hyundai owner, and I am more and more impressed with the choice.

People too easily write off the value of a modern car, especially a 5 star top safety pick + when compared to old even 4 and 5 star rated cars. They're just not even remotely the same thing. Friend of mine hit a tree at 40mph in a huge truck a couple months ago due to black ice, they are lucky to be alive.

I mean, so are you but you walked away whereas the cabin of this F350 was completely crushed and it took emergency services an hour to cut them out, the two of them spent weeks in the hospital, have multiple broken bones, etc. Emergency services was amazed people were alive inside the vehicle when they came up to it.

VERSUS... you walked away. Your glasses were on the floor. Yessir, I'll spend my money on that, thank you very much.

Great to hear this result. We never know when we'll be tested. Makes me sure that when my 2012 leased Gennie comes due later this year, there's nothing to think about...2015 here I come!

Glad you are okay! The safety marks received by the 2015 Genesis is one of the major reasons I purchased my car!
