  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Shortcomings

For me I would like to see the following improvements to the Genesis:

1) The ability to get either model with 17" wheels.
2) Limited Slip Differential on ALL models V6 and V8
3) BI-Xenons standard or made a standalone option
4)The ability to get the High End Lexicon system without having to get the Nav system.
5) The Air suspension made a standard part of the Tech Package
6) The removal of the Nav system from the Tech package.
7) 18" wheels made part of a Sport Package.
8) All that and a bag of chips

It's not track, but I found that 3-4 hard stops in succession, from freeway speeds, is enough to start some smoking.

I would never take my Genesis to a track unless I upgrade the brake pads first.

The brakes are perfectly fine though, before they start fading, that is. Brake fade is a complete non-issue if I drive like a grandmother (which IMO is the proper way to drive/enjoy a Genesis, or a Lexus LS for that matter - these cars are not BMWs).

My '02 Accord has less of a brake fade problem. But then, its pads are no longer genuine Honda OEM parts (dunno where my mechanic got his pads from).

Ahhh, the joys of driving in SoCal traffic. Now I can see why brake fade would be an issue! ;) :D
