I would be very surprised if the key card didn't work.

A key fob costs $161 online. I would think a key card should be about the same, but it is more. I assume the eBay unit has additional markup in it.

I think we should look at a group purchase of the key card, if there is enough interest. I bet we could get a much better price. If anyone is interested, please let me know.

I'd be interested in a group buy if we can confirm the dealers can and will program them.

I had a Miata for a couple of years with a key card and it was great. Put it in your wallet and forget it.

I too am very interested. I currently live in Saudi Arabia and will pass by the dealerships to see if they sell any from their stock, and if they do, how much the cards would cost.

Here's one question: since the card needs to be programmed, while one kind member gave us a dealer who made solidly-priced offer to program, that dealer is many states from me, so IF the CAR needs to be AT the dealer to have the key programmed (seems likely to me), each member would need to confirm the/a dealer near them CAN do/be taught to do the programming to make this work.

Here's one question: since the card needs to be programmed, while one kind member gave us a dealer who made solidly-priced offer to program, that dealer is many states from me, so IF the CAR needs to be AT the dealer to have the key programmed (seems likely to me), each member would need to confirm the/a dealer near them CAN do/be taught to do the programming to make this work.

I'm pretty sure that nowadays a advanced locksmith company are able to do the programming , just searched the mother Google There is locksmiths that offer services , also I saw that at some models or brands, it didn't say specific which ones, the code might be somewhere written.
The locksmith companies offer to program new key fob if you lost it, or anything else happens, but since we have original key fobs I think it would be much easier for them to program it.
I'm also trying how to order directly from Hyundai part seller MOBIS , but looks like there is not websites for these part stores, just a physical address and they do only wholesale. There is a lot offers on alibaba.com for original Hyundai parts, just didn't have a time to find if they have the card. This website is full of sellers from China, Korea, and you can find same products what we have here in US, only 10 or more times cheaper, also a lot of wholesale deals for even lower prices.

FWIW I checked out alibaba.com and alibaba.com.us and NO real fobs, never mind the keys, in fact really NOTHING specific to 2015s

Locksmiths get delayed availability of the programming info. I spoke to one about 3 weeks ago and they said they don't have the programming info yet, but expect it soon. Dealers should be able to program it. The card should program the same way as the FOB (I am almost sure of it, but not 100% sure).

Agh, ok, got it. I just didn't have a time to check it completely,, I put in search window parts for 2015 Genesis and a lot of results came up, but I had to leave house and wasn't able to see what they offering.

Hyundai Motoring of America representative recommended on the telephone to stay away from these key cards since it did not come with the vehicle.

When some options not available in Canada or US, it's mentioned , nothing was mentioned about the card, anyway I'll find out Thursday, will let you know, I have my card arriving on Tuesday and made appointment to dealer on Thursday.

Perhaps your friend would like to offer a group purchase discount for the key card. They will have to buy it from an alternate channel. Otherwise, we will have to look at a Canadian dealer.
