I must have missed that post. In any case i will PM you to get the info. Thanks
just bought mine off ebay for $280 from a seller in CA after reading people has success with dealerships in the US willing to program it. gonna get it in a week. wish me luck on getting 1 out of 4 hyundai dealerships around NC Charlotte to program it for me. so far i know you need to bring in all key fobs and the blank has to be in the key fob to be programmed. hope im not missing anything else.
Problem is that makes it hard for the attendant to attach any kind of id to the key via a string, etc (at least on the regular key fob). The few times that I have been offered free valet parking, I just declined and asked to park it myself. When leaving your keys with a parking lot attendant or valet, perform steps 1 to 4 above, remove the mechanical key from the smart key and leave the smart key with the attendant. In this manner the smart key can only be used to start the engine and operate door locks.
I have a 2018 Genesis G80 3.8 Standard and live in Charlotte NC. I bought my card key (PN# B1064 ADU01) from vanillabusiness on eBay for $219. He is a US seller so it arrived in 2 days. I took the card key and both my existing key fobs to Modern Hyundai of Concord (my dealer). Make sure you take them all because they all must be reprogramed. My dealer had never programed a card key for the G80, but said he would give it a try. It only took about 10 minutes and it worked! They charged me $55 labor. I also had them order the mechanical key (PN# 81996 B1010) for $12. Cutting the blank was supposed to be another $40. Unfortunately, after about 20mins of effort I was told their key machine is unable to laser cut the key. They are now ordering a precut mechanical key from Genesis. It should arrive in a few days. Make sure when you order the mechanical key you order it PRECUT. Evidently, Genesis can cut the key PRIOR to shipping using your VIN number. The dealers cannot cut this particular key blank because it is thinner than the standard mechanical key in the larger key fob. The precut key will cost about $40 - $50. Hope this helps someone. It sure is nice not having to carry the key fob anymore! That thing is huge!
