  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis tempting me from Camaro!

That is the best deal I have read on the web so far. Lots of people are paying MSRP.

Yeah, he made a mistake thinking I wanted a manual and offered me the quote. I said I wanted the automatic($1500 more) and said he'd get back to me. The general manager called and said they'd honor the original quote!

Sweet!

So that would be $26500 + $750(destination charge) ?

Thanks,
Monb

$26,500+6% sales tax+750+$99 dealer fee.

Should come out to around $29,000. Which is the MSRP of the 3.8 Grand Touring.

It's almost like I'm stealing it!

That price is about $600 below the cap cost of their current lease "special" on 3.8 GT (and about $720 below invoice).
That is very encouranging for us who is considering Gen Coupe.

Of course, you will also get your sales tax deduct for 2010 filing....

I forgot about the deduction! SWEET!

Just gotta say. The 350z is a 7 year old car not 4. And I'm glad you found the genesis to be a great car. I been feeling that since Nov 2007. I just hope you weren.t one of those guys when after the new York auto show review. You bashed the hyundai to death. Saying camaro rules!!!. Lol. As great as it is going fast. N I do luv to drive fast. Sometimes quality and getting your money's worth takes over getting an extra 1 second on the track. For 3k in mods you will get that one second and still be cheaper than the most diect competitor. The g37s. Which this year beat BMW and genesis coupe 3.8 track was quoted by automobile mag and popular mechanics as being 2/3 of the genesis. Which is great considering its 11k cheaper. Handling was said to be near identical. Except at speeds over 100mph. That's where infiniti ruled. But that's a great start for the enthusiast on a budget. Enjoy ur coupe. I'll be joining you this summer after hyundai has completely worked out the quirks most likely.

BTW, here's my baby. Her name is Evangeline:

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Hello all! I'm a guy who has a V6 Camaro on order. Sad thing is, it's completely unknown when the car is coming (Chevy has screwed V6 orders)

Sooooo...I started studying up on the Genesis Coupe...HARD.

I think I want it. I'm over my "bu, bu, but it's a HYUNDAI" reservations and I think I'm ready to get the 3.8 Grand Touring (not really a racing/performance guy).

You people that own the coupe, what're your impressions? How have people reacted to seeing it in the flesh. Your opinions will go a long way towards my decision.

Thanks!

I just joined the site today and I was like you. I ordered the Camaro on 10/29/2008 and could not get anything from GM Customer Service or my dealer. I finally said ' cancel my order" and picked up the 3.8 auto this last weekend. I received a good price and excellent trade and the car seems to be wonderful. I feel like I made a good decision.

Congrats. This car gets LOTS of attention. I have people stopping me in parking lots, racing to catch up with me, waiting for me in lots for me to come out of the store to ask me about it.

Post pics of your ride!!

Starky, I know exactly how you feel. I went from a 315+HP Pontiac Firehawk to a 360+HP C5 Corvette. I was all set to order the Camaro, but Chevy's a bit too proud of these for my taste. I waited seven years and now they're selling them at MSRP and above. That put a really bad taste in my mouth for GM.

So, I went to Hyundai today and traded my beautiful C5 for a brand new black-on-black Genesis Coupe Track. I should take delivery within the week. :)

My first choice was 370z until I drove coupe, less performace but better ride and value.

Its hard to beat overall quality and value of coupe in todays sports car market.

when the deal is finally done, hope the dealer will stick to $26.5K on the coupe deal, its not a done deal until actural signed sale contract.

dude are you going for the grand touring or the track because you can get the gt for less than 26.5 i got mine for 25,300 before ttl

Welcome ex-camaro orderer. I too waited since October for the Camaro and same situation on the V6 manual so I cancelled my order and got the Coupe. I know the Camaro is a great car but this Coupe is nothing short of it. You get alot more for the dollar also. I have over 700 miles on it and enjoying it more each day. You will not be disappointed. Good luck on your decision.

I'm new here as well, but I gotta ask... how did you guys walk away with the total so low? I'm ready to buy a 3.8GT(Auto), as I heard the first 2 gears are kinda rough on the stick. I'm just waiting for my color to come in (love the mirabeau blue), but with the way these cars are racing off the lot, what stops a salesman from holding back for someone that's willing to pay more?

As with any car....You can not limit yourself to local dealers. I have never bought a car in my home town....Not for lack of trying....the difference can be in the thousands, and I have found differences in cars I have bought of 5000+ out of state

You just have to shop around. Our local dealer had them 2k over MSRP so I went into the next State to get one. Have you used AutoTrader.com. I found what I wanted, made the deal and financing through emails and fax, and went up and got it. By the way I could not find that blue color but it is great looking. I settled for Gray which was my second choice.

There's a M. Blue one here in Texas at the Round Rock Hyundai dealership, but I think it's a manual. It's a V6, though. You can probably find it on the website if you were so inclined. I got a great deal on mine from them.

I got one from same dealer, the blue one is 3.8 track manuel .

I got the auto 3.8 base.:D
