  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I sat in a 2015 Genesis at the dealership this past weekend, just doing some "taste testing".

I didn't take it out for a test drive or anything, but sitting there in the drivers seat, I felt pretty low in my seat..compared to my Sonata and Camry where I feel like I'm sitting up high.

I'm 6 feet tall btw. Is seating height adjustable, or is that just standard?

I suppose the technology (tilting side view mirrors, backup camera, etc) would help me navigate my environment in tight corners. Just asking for your personal experience.

It is adjustable but probably not enough you might be looking for. It has 2 seat memory settings which comes in handy for the wife and I when she happens to drive it.

It is adjustible (maybe only certian models). But many passengers of mine have commented that you do feel lower than other cars.

totally adjustable. I am sure you could find a setting you feel comfortable in.

That feeling of being lower is due to the high beltline and shortened greenhouse.

I don't know what a greenhouse is, but I think the general feeling of sitting in, and driving the new cars is due to the so-called "european look" -- at least that's what my mechanic calls it.

You have little short "gangsta" windows , you ride low, and you need a mountain of gadgets to compensate for the lousy visibility.

We just gotta copy the Europeans - I hear the Germans got a great way to get cars thru the emissions inspection.

The "greenhouse" consists of the car's windshield, rear and side windows and the pillars dividing them.

Height is adjustable on all trim levels. I have never seen a drivers seat with power adjustments that didn't have a height adjustment.

True - however, depending on driver size, the range of adjustment may not be sufficient - this is something folks really need to check out in-person with a test drive!

Front and side visibility are fine, but rear visibility isn't that great. However, the tilting rear camera makes it easy to maneuver into very tight spaces.

I have my seat adjusted almost all the way up, which is rare for me. In every other car I've driven I've had to have it all the way down, and even then my head would normally brush the roof. Very short people may have a problem with visibility, but for most people it should be fine.

Seat is adjustable...and i am 6' too, and visibility/height is not an issue
Best of luck

5'10" and I can adjust my seat so my hair is brushing the cloth cover for the pano roof. Unless 4.5 feet of him is legs - the OP will be able to easily adjust.

That being said - the G2 IS squashed a bit compared to the previous generation. It is almost a full 5 inches shorter at the driver's door than my Azera was.
