Costguard was the brand mentioned above that is offered by a group of specific dealers in CT. It may in fact be just offered by that one dealer group (basically if they are underwriting their own insurance policy), or could be sold by other dealers. But regardless, it is sold by a dealer, so contact the dealer who is selling you the car as to which warranties they offer.I have been searching for Costguard warranty but cannot find them on Google. Is that a product name but under a differant company name? Any links would be appreciated.I have had both good and bad experience with extended warranties in the past and even had one company go out of business just months after taking my money. So, I'm looking for the best company just like everyone else. I'm just not sure where to start as they all claim to be the best.
IMO, the Hyundai Motor America (or Genesis) extended warranty is the best choice, because it is honored instantly at any USA Genesis dealer, and the warranty information is available in every dealer computer system. Other warranties "may" sometimes only be honored at certain dealers, or only at the selling dealer. Also, you don't need to purchase the Hyundai (or Genesis) extended warranty at time of purchase, or at the same dealer where you purchased your car.
As with most extended warranties, the price they first quote you will probably be outrageously high, but if you can get one for about $1,800 - $2,000 on a G90, that might be a good price. PMCErnie apparently has a 2014 Hyundai Genesis, and the warranty on that model is going to be less than a new G80, and especially a new G90.
