Genesis Wing emblem for the steering wheel

What do you all make of this. Is it worth the risk of messing with the airbag? not to mention what it might cost to have installed. Is this a simple plug and play or would it be costly to have dealer install?

It will be very expensive to change out a steering wheel with all the electronics and airbag. Is it worth it just to change out a logo?

Could it possibly be an easy install, though? It looks as if this can be done without changing the steering wheel - just the center price. I bet the dealership has a tool to remove that center piece without much hassle..

Maybe it's best to visit your dealership and ask how much it would cost to install before splurging. If it only takes them an hour or less and they charge their regular $75/hr or whatever it might not be too bad. It is pretty pricey though for a logo.

I also wonder if you might be able to sell your old airbag since it is brand new. The dealership, local body shop, etc may take it off your hands.

Yeah, I was thinking that myself. Worst-case you figure there would be some market for a hyundai version on eBay or elsewhere (if not right away, downt he road after a few airbags go off). If it's an easy install and you could sell your existing part for something, it may not be that bad.

My other worry is that the interior color may not match exactly. It should, but there is no guarantee and you would have to have the part in-hand to check it out.

It's definitely worth it if it won't cause any problems and they can install it for under a few hundred. You'll be looking at the steering wheel all the time. It's arguably a better mod than anything on the exterior

I received airbag with wing emblem and had dealer install today. Perfect fit and looks great. Dealer charged me $45 to swap out. I put pics in my album in Hyundai Genesis Pictures:,

What about the $15 emblem sold on ebay? I've seen a few pics of it here in the forum. Wondering how they installed it? Doesn't seem large enough to cover the flying H on the factory wheel hub.

INstalled wheel wing today. Took a few extra minutes to remove metal part of original logo rather then put new one on top. LOOKS GREAT.

Bought one of these and after installing, I thought it looked kind of cheesy compared to the dimensional "H" logo. I'm back to the "H" again. Just my opinion.
