Nice! I asked KAI a few weeks ago since they have similar products but with ugly generic logos and they were completely closed to the idea to make one with the Genesis logo because it would be infriging on the Hyundai trademark.

Oh well, looks like somebody doesn't care as much and is willing to supply the market

I just hope the recessed area is the same size on the sedan as the coupe... all of the sample pictures were taken on a coupe.

From past experiences with similar badges on similar vinyl, it should be a breeze. It helps to warm up the area first (with a hair dryer or something similar) to soften the glue but not required.

Is the sterring on the Genesis sedan the same size as the coupe? Is the "H" on the coupe about the same size?

I have been searching for the steering "Wing" since Sept. I am not willing to pay $295 for the KAI steering center hub.

well since i already order & installed (might i add with no problems at all) the airbag unit i must say that , that badge is nice but im very happy having the wing emblem on my steering wheel instead of a round badge with the wing emblem in it, you see u should take some time & really think about will this give my $40,000 car a cheesy look , in other words dont lesson the vaule of your ride just for $15.99 , but if u must then enjoy !!!

OK... I'm now concerned. I'm all about respecting trademarks (I own a few myself). I'll look to see if it is in fact authorized by Hyundai. If not... I may not put it on. Yup... I'm that picky.

This may sound a little picky but has anyone thought about the logo becoming a projectile during airbag deployment? With the speed of deployment if it comes off it could be flying through the air at a couple of hundred miles an hour. Other than that I can't wait how the install goes and looks!

It's just a replacement for the existing logo... safety concerns would be the same.

Ok. I am going to answer some of your questions.
I initially thought the same thing that "H" emblem would ply right off.
Guess nothing is easy in this world.
Look.

It was a big pain in the butt to remove all the emblem pieces (I mean pieces because they couldn't be removed unless they are broken into pieces.. no they are not glued ... There are 4 pins on top to bottom and side to side holding the emblem) After wasting a good half an hour removing the emblem, I finally realize there is no point for removing the emblem (As you can see in the picture, inner part of "H" emblem where it's not the emblem itself sticks out.

And we came out with 2 results.
1. there is no point for removing the emblem. Got ugly marks around the emblem area plying it hard.
2. Flat replacement emblem will not fit

So.. we have given all the tips and feedbacks to our affiliate company and there you have it.

To answer your questions..

- It's not a replacement emblem.. it's an emblem that sticks on top of the "H" emblem.
- Installation time? Probably 30 seconds not even.
- It's not made of vinyl either.
- Genuine Hyundai emblem? Obviously no.
Will Hyundai ever come out with an emblem like this for owners outside of Korea? Definately No.
Did we make this? No.
It's made by one of aftermarket part manufacture called "VIP STATUS"
- becoming a projectile during airbag deployment? No
if that's the case stock "H" logo shouldn't be on the steering in a first place.

Thanks for your honesty here. It's refreshing. As I've said earlier, being a trademark and copyright owner, I am right to be picky about un-licensed things. I desperately wanted Genesis logo wear (jackets, shirts, etc.). I've tried to pursue getting that done and the best I can get is that Hyundai will pursue illegal use of the trademark. But they will not, at this time, entertain 3rd party licensing. I think that's stupid (NFL, NBA, NHL, others certainly do it) but I must respect their wishes.

Well, that kinda sucks the big one... I wonder if it would be possible to use a dremel tool or something and even out the vinyl surface there without going through. I may just have to try that when I get the emblem.
