  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anybody experienced a non start situation where the brake pedal cannot be depressed? Battery seem okay, lights work and other electronics.

Press down really hard. My brakes are always hard in the morning! :p

Sorry guys, looks like it was a dead battery. Now I have to figure out why it has a dead battery. I have had troubles with Hyundai batteries in the past, or, something could have been left on. Many things turn off automatically. I don't know what does not. Car is only 9 mos old, well, thats how long I have had it. It was manufactured in late 08.

Battery needed replacing. Only 6k on car. While Hyundais are great cars, I have owned four in ten years, their batteries appear to be junk. I have replaced four batteries, two in one car, in my Hyundais, all of which were still under some warranty.

Roadside assistance was great and so was the service at Cromier Hyundai in Carson, Ca.

A couple of weeks ago, I had to take my '06 Sonata for its first unscheduled maintenance. The middle brake light had burnt out. This is the one Hyundai I have not replaced the battery, but it is probably due one normally.
