Get the map updated - cheaper / easier now

So you think that your nav/headunit has never been upgraded skipgen? When I got my 15 I thik nk I was the first to upgrade it. It may sound crazy, but after the upgrade it sounded as if my bass was not as good as before upgrade.

No, I think that it's never been updated
As for the bass - maybe it reset to default settings? I'll find out if there's a change - if it ever arrives...

Unfortunately it is not. I have it turned up almost all the way. Before upgrade I kept little less than half. Oh well ! If that's my worst problem I am doing ok. Eventually I am going to install an amp for the subwoofer like kocky123 did. Seems like a good deal.

That's a bummer - Mine's almost all the way up now.

So I was scheduled the update for today’s delivery and found out it was delivered on Saturday.. I installed update on way to work. All went well but the Apple car play was grayed on the screen. I had the phone cord plugged into the usb, but it was still grayed out. I will search the forum, just ran it pass to you guys this morning.

I still can't get home. My street was on the local map and named over 2 years ago and is still not on any mapping software. Same with Google maps.
So, updated map, cheap gas, still not a good time to travel. I had two long trips to make, both on hold right now.

Mine was also supposed to arrive on the 1st, ordered on 27th as well - Going to be the 5th now. My FedEx 2 day didn't work out so well. Wasn't picked up until yesterday.

Got my update today. I got a usb stick and sd card. So that's what y ou can expect

We'll see... mine is somewhere in town, but not scheduled for delivery until tomorrow.

Maybe by inputting the VIN, they can determine what is needed... I think that someone said earlier that the USB stick held updated firmware & possibly OS updates for the H/U and the SD card had the maps.

Yes I believe you are correct. I ordered mine a day after you ordered yours and I went regular USPS delivery and received it this morning. Let me know how you make out with yours. Thanks skip gen

Got the map update for 2015 Ultimate. It came with both the SD card and a USB. Needed to plug in both to perform the update.

Instructions inside the package. You put your new card in the slot. Then usb stick and let the car do its thing. After it's done remove usb stick and you are good to go. If I can do it I am sure you can. I am computer illiterate.

You kind of did hit the lottery, I paid 170$ plus shipping for my last update! Good for you. You will be happy with the new maps and nav and 3d maps.

Only the SD card is required (and supplied) for 2016 Ultimates.

Got my Version 14.0 (13.41.42.xxx) update yesterday (ordered last Thursday) for my 2016 Ultimate. It is only the SD card, like it was last year when I updated to Version 13.0. And like last year, the card has the updated maps info as well as the OS/UI updates.

According to the update literature, features added or upgraded since Version 13.5 (12.47.44.xxx) include: a new map display, easier POI display addition, current vehicle speed display, 'La Liste' restaurant list option, guidance display at top of screen when viewing other screens, toggle-able search function (was a drop down), route overview displayed when stopped for more than 15 seconds, improved voice recognition, additional map themes, media playback improvement, album cover display in background on media playback screen, and "sounds of nature" added.

Additional features added or updated since version 13.0 (12.41.51.xxx), which is what I had updated to in July 2019, include: an added pause/resume button, improved 3D building visualization, and a privacy mode option for incoming calls.

Will be installing it tonight.

Still waiting on mine:-( Keeps getting delayed by FedEx. They said they tried to deliver it 2x but access to my home was blocked? Guess the FedEx guy or gal is scarred by my kids drawing with chalk on my driveway LOL. They are trying again today so hopefully they will actually deliver it. I have the original map and firmware that came with the car and I hope this will include my families houses in Iowa. My 2015 Sonata could find them but my Genesis blocks out the entire neighborhood even though the one home was built for a Civil War General so I'm pretty sure it was there while they mapped out the area!
