I’m digging the new media screen.

They changed the drive mode color scheme a bit. Now it’s in line with the new model years.

The map got a huge overhaul, although it might not be perfect since the new features are really taxing on the wimpy processor in the H/U. So it has some lag compared to the previous version. The RAM is pretty much maxed out too so making mods is pretty much out the window for future revisions- at least not without gutting system modules.

Audio received no processing changes this revision, so if you hear a difference you likely missed it a couple updates back. It wasn’t much anyway, just a tweak to Surround EQ.

Mine didn't seem too pokey - but it's a replacement. Haven't had a chance to dig into it too deeply yet.

I ordered the update last night. I am the second owner of the car so I am not sure if any updates have been made in the past ... and I am not sure what version the car originally came with. The car is currently running version 08.47.552.004.1. An update to version 14 will bring some nice improvements.

Question - Anyone experience any issues when updating from a VERY old version (in my case 08) to 14?

I updated my 2015 Ultimate, which had the original map (never updated), to V14 without any issues.

No issues with my 15 as well. Original to 13.5 worked no problems.

This is confusing to me, sorry. I have a 2017 jog dial 8" screen G80. I do not have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Is this a hardware issue (in which case I am SOL), or is this a software issue which the upgrade can fix?

I ordered on 4/27, it was shipped on May 1st, and god knows where it is now or when it will get to Canada...... sigh

I'm not familiar with the packages for the 2017 G80...jog dial sounds like you have a 9.2 Ultimate though, which wouldn't get AA/CP.

That was my impression also...... it's a hardware restriction on my car.

I gave them the VIN number for my order, so I am hoping that they send me the correct package.

Think mine had the "08" vintage as well - installed mine yesterday w/ no issues. They sent me a USB stick as well, but the car didn't "ask" for it. It was all done through the SD card.

I just drove around in silence until it finished - during that time I listened for rattles that I had been hearing for the past few months... Sources: too much junk in the console, 1 broken pair of sunglasses in front door pocket and the lug bolt lock rolling around in the glovebox.

That will get you every time. I try not to leave stuff like that lay around just for that reason. I had a tire psi gauge cause lots of grief for me in the past.

I had a similar problem... a pounding noise coming from the trunk. I was able to fix it with a shovel.

Is there anything new on version 14 vs 13.5? For $25 it might be worth it for something I could use.
