Given the frustration so far, any reason to not just order one for a reasonable cost? You do gain the old card as an SD card you can use for other purposes.

Yeah, that had occurred to me. But now it's a problem I want to solve, too... Plus I still feel like I can figure this out before I could get one shipped!

I did the download process the first time, and ordered the card (no cost) the 2nd time - WAY easier to just order the card! Only took about 3 days to receive it.

Yeah, thinking I'm gonna go that way. DL failed on a third machine the same way, nothing obvious in the logs. That plus the chance that I need the USB stick too... Meh! It still grinds my gears that I don't understand the problem, though...

Looks like there's issues with the US Genesis files. No issues with the Canadian files. Just tried the US Elantra files and it downloaded just fine.

2015 8 Inch touch only here - I can't find the download link anywhere on either MyHundai or the MapnSoft. Is the download link still down? I am looking to get the update for Android Auto.

So, I finally said 'screw it' and ordered the card from mapnsoft. I'll have to find a way to live with the mystery.

Smijeff, the download link for the updater software still won't work via the US/CA on MyHyundai; you can fudge it by downloading from the Korean-localized site and switching the area setting in config after you get almost to the download stage. But I had (and some others have apparently had) issues actually getting the files to download correctly... it might be easier to just bow to the inevitable as I did.

It won't have the right map data. Working on splicing the two together, although the base operating system is different between the countries.

Another small difference in the new mapping is when I put the gear lever in reverse the volume drops on the stereo.
Spoke with local dealer & he says all the newer cars do that so I think it's to help you not be distracted when backing up.

I just tried the website and it stated: No updates are currently available. I will call tomorrow.

You can switch your region to US or CA even from the Korean-sourced update installer; once you do so the car list changes to North American cars and one presumes the download is for the correct region as well. But I never found out, because it kept resetting.

This seems to only affect US Genesis models... lol... I've downloaded other US models and Canadian Genesis models without problems. If you have other Hyundai/Kia/Genesis cars, it should work.
