Gift from Genesis?

I'm not expecting or looking for a gift. As I've stated I've not received a gift for other cars so why this one. If one comes it will be a nice surprise but not looking for it. I think some of these gifts that people get are from the dealerships and not the manufacturers. So it really depends on your dealership on what or when or if you will receive anything. I also think it depends on whether you purchased from a stand alone Genesis dealer or whether it was a Hyundai dealership. I think it's more likely if you purchase from a Genesis dealer than a Hyundai dealer because Hyundai doesn't typically give gifts with purchase. So they don't even think about it when they sell a Genesis.

Bought 5 cars, got 5 gifts from both Hyundai and Genesis. 2007. 2010, 2013, 2015, 2018.
Maybe they just like me.

Give it some time for a gift from Genesis. A lot of folks here got one, including myself and I think mine was 4+ months or so after purchase. My actually Hyundai dealership sent me a thank you card and a $5.00 coffee gift card. I think Genesis is trying here but they are hamstrung by Hyundai dealerships who use State laws to their advantage to not have invest in the brand. Genesis should have done their homework long before launching a stand alone brand so they would have known Hyundai dealers were not going to play ball. Never mind you don’t see Infiniti inside a Nissan dealer or a Lexus at a Toyota dealer or Cadillac parked next to Chevys at a Chevy dealer. Hyundai dealers don’t get and I don’t see that changing. You will never be able to compare Genesis to the full luxury and established name brands regardless of how well we love our cars.

What is kind of amusing is that the best gift I ever received was when I purchased my Saturn SC2, and I hated that car!

Total car guy here, buy and sell way more than I should...Had eye on this thing before they were rolling the prototype in NY/Detroit years ago. Was a Genesis G90 AWD in the family etc etc. Would probably have one in the garage right now, but no one wants to give up their current DD!

The funny thing is that I too had a Saturn SC2 and thought it was great. Of course, I bought it after getting rid of the worst car I have ever owned, a Hyundai Excel. At that time Hyundai didn't even have their own engines. They put an outdated Mitsubishi engine in it that they bought cheap. The Excel was so bad I vowed I would never ever consider buying another Hyundai product. The company has come a long ways since then as a car producer.

I purchased my 3.4 Advanced on 1/8/20.
Gift "eligibility" in the email is for purchases between 7/20 and 12/31/20..you get to select a gift.
That leaves me out...

Given the delays...and very low US fall inventory (at least in my geography as I waited till mid December to finally test drive a real car here in New England)..
this is incredibly atrocious marketing ..particularly for early adopters of the Genesis brand...
I plan to respond to the "Gift Concierge" link..

G90 is more expensive than G70 so guessing that car may get you more stuff? I got a Genesis portable USB charger with wireless charging ability. My iPhone does not have wireless charging so never tried that function, but a very useful charger nonetheless to plug my phone into when traveling or when my iPad needs a boost and I’m not next to a outlet. Never expected anything so thought it was cool and a nice gesture.

I got a pretty nice cooler backpack which included 3 hammocks and an $80 Visa card for an annual National Park Pass, but really you could spend it on anything. I also got an Amazon Echo, $50 gift card to Olive Garden (Red Lobster was the other option), lifetime oil changes, and 10 raffle tickets to a pretty sweet selection of gifts. They also offered me another grand on my trade-in, and a first-responder discount. The dealer only had one 3.5 Advanced+ with the third row, so they didn't have to offer anything to make the sell. I have to say I am pretty impressed with my dealer's service.

‘I got no gift when I bought my first Mercedes. Unless you count the key ring that broke a month later.

My gift at mercedes was the excellent coffee and bagels while I waited in service 11 times in 18 months on a 2015 S550 30K miles on it. mostly electrical and software problems . 4th s class this one must have just been the devil in the room OMG what a pain in the ass . Others no problem but took the fun right out of it . Gift to myself trade Benz for the 21 GV80 prestige. So far 10/10 . Had a 15 5.0 Genesis never a problem . Fingers crossed .

I have been struggling with the Genesis Concierge service for the last two weeks. Three emails, 2 phone calls, on hold for 40 minutes and STILL NO RESPONSE.

As a long time Mercedes owner, I have to tell you, they have a lot to learn about customer service.

I was contacting them last night about the lack-of-GV80-to-buy situation and they called me while I was still filling out the form on t he phone!

It might be an Aussie thing but my GV80 had an umbrella, blanket and a few key rings, USB, and leather protector for the key.
