After dealing with the dealer in the SCV, my wife and I drove to Glendale, CA and purchased our new Genesis. The local dealer had told us:
A) No deals on V8's. We saw only V6's on the lot.
B) Hyundai was in fact going to raise the price on the V8's by $5K - $6K soon since the Lexus 460GS cost a lot more than the 350GS, or some such BS.
C) We should lease and buy out at the end, cheaper than buying it outright or purchase finance. We drive 20,000 - 30, 000 miles per year! Not.
So off we went to Glendale. They had many V8's in stock and offered to deal on them. We were members of Costco and got a fixed price, don't know if we could have beat it, but after the other dealer's song/dance we took the deal.
Couldn't be happier with the people in Glendale. OBTW, it's the 2nd Hyundai that we purchased there in the last 6 years or so.
