Wow, time is flying! 1 month and a half later already - here is my review of it so far (in case anyone else was thinking of getting this car or this as an option to their decision making):
Pros:
I get the same love / excited feeling in this car as I did with my 2012 Genesis, I actually love the drive of this a lot more due to the sportiness and handling of the car. (I guess I'm fading away from the boat feel that I used to like).
The different modes in the car (Eco, Comfort, Sport and Sport +) I love how each one I can actually feel the difference. The sport mode is very cool to feel the instant speed when pressing the pedal. In the 2015 Genesis, I didn't feel much difference in the modes.
The navigation is superior, I love how it looks and acts just like Google Maps. Feels more high tech to me. Also, I love how it can search online for destinations as well so it's always guaranteed to find my destination.
The LED headlights are very bright and nice to have for night time. They were similar to my Prada Lights I had for the Genesis but actually are brighter.
The materials on the car are very high quality, (No more squeaking or rattling from the music thank God!) I'm sure this is fixed in the 2015 Genesis.
I love how on hot days, I can use my keyfob to roll down all of the windows and sunroof before getting to the car. And also hold the handle to roll the windows back up. This has came in handy various times!
The AC is instantly cold even when 98 degrees outside compared to my previous Genesis where it took a bit to cool down.
I'm getting the same attention in this car as I did with the Genesis, I've been asked which model was this BMW (as it is a new model). And everyone loves the car, especially the red interior.
The seat belt holder brings the seat belt to you so you don't have to reach (since this is a coupe). This is a simple feature but many people who were in my car were very impressed and felt like it was valet service haha.
Leg space has not been an issue at all for any people who were in my car. There is plenty of leg room for everyone.
Heads up display is wonderful and very clear. I can still see the display with my Polarized Glasses. When I test drove the 2015 Genesis, I couldn't see it at all with them on.
I could go on and on but I hope I listed the main things.
Cons:
I'm still trying to figure out the cons... but at the moment I couldn't think of any just yet.
I'll try and think harder and see if I have anything to complain about.
I found one con, Alarm system isn't standard and wasn't included with my car. But I'll be ordering it from BMW eventually.
Congratz on your new purchase!
You're comparing apples to oranges here with genesis and bmw 428. One is a large sedan and the other one is a small coupe. That coupe is also slower than the genesis 5.0. If I ever would've decided to go with a bmw it would be the 550 but I don't think paying double for almost the same thing is worth it. (yeah, quicker transmission but so what)
Actually, my 428i is just as fast as the 2015 5.0 Genesis (5.2 seconds). However, the weight on the Genesis has something to do with that so we can't really compare the different classes in this case.
