  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just bought the new Google Nexus 5 on the Sprint network and love the phone. Unfortunately, it will not pair with my 2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Sedan that has the touch screen navigation. I go to Phone, Pairing, Add To and turn on my phone's bluetooth. The Nexus 5 finds the "Genesis", but when you select the car to pair, it simply shows "pairing" for a second, then stops, not completing the connection. I try to reselect Genesis, and it just does the same thing, never offering the chance to enter the pass code (1,2,3,4).

My Genesis has paired easily with the following: HTC Evo, HTC Evo 4g LTE, Iphone 4S and 5S. Anyone else have the new Nexus 5 or the LG G2 phone and get it to pair with the Genesis?

I have a 2012 V6 with Premium package only and the new Nexus LG phone. I have not had any issues pairing or keeping it paired. I am not on Sprint if that makes a difference. I live in Toronto and am Rogers network.

Thank you for posting. The fact that it works on your car tells me the problem likely lies in the carrier's radio software. I did read that the carrier is responsible for the bluetooth radio implementation on a handset. It also would explain why there haven't been as many complaints about bluetooth compatibility problems with the new LG Nexus 5.

Glad to assist
