  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, I have asked this before but was wondering if anyone can offer an update.
I know some of you clever people can access the engineering pages. Is it possible to turn on a GPS speed anywhere in the vehicle, say, on the NAV screen?
All the three speeds shown (gauge, HUD and LCD screen between the gauges) show the gauge speed that is typically 5-10% lower than the true speed. They all read the same, incidentally. I miss not having GPS speed and using my Garmin unit seems a bit of a nonsense when the car has its own system.

Don't have an answer for your request, but my car pretty much matches the GPS speed readout on my phone running Waze. Usually it's a dead on match, but it's never more than 1-2 mph off at speeds of 75+ mph - so much less than the 5-10% off you are finding?

Sorry, I should have emphasised this is a car for the UK market, and specs more than likely vary when compared to USA specs. I've always found during my motoring life (47 years) that speedo readings were always low by about the same percentage.
