OK, I'm pissed...
I started getting a notice on my GPS screen when I activated it that if it wasn't upgraded soon, it would cease to function...
I'd been through the drill before & started the byzantine upgrade process, & after about 20 tries (no exaggeration), I called concierge, who's explanation was the upgrade wasn't available until mid-November, & when i asked for a specific date, was advised they didn't have one...My career was in technology & I've never known of a planned upgrade that didn't have a specific date, but whatever...I was advised to go to my dealer, made an appointment, & took the car in...They fiddled with it for a bit over an hour & said the upgrade software was not yet available...TWO DAYS, as in 48 flippin' hours later, & I'm leaving town & the damn GPS was dead...I recall concierge & this time was told that the upgrade has been available for "about two weeks & some people are downloading it," which sounds like bs to me (really helpful agent whose tone implied I just didn't know what the f I was doing, & further the dealership didn't know what it was doing either)...
This was late Friday afternoon, & I have a vm message with the GM of my dealership advising I want someone to figure out what needs to be done if ANYONE with Genesis has a flippin' clue as to how I should proceed, but I spent the entire damn weekend having to work with Google maps to figure out where I needed to go...
I switched to Genesis from BMW, & while they weren't perfect - nobody is - I never ran into a situation where they were totally flippin' clueless as to what was going on...
I'm starting to be concerned that the Genesis product is not at the top of Hyundai's priorities...
Am I the only owner that's dealing with crap like this?...I know the car was only $80k, but I expect high-end support from what is purported to be a "luxury" vehicle...Why the hell can't we be sent a memory stick with the upgrade already loaded on it?...
Really disappointed...Seriously disappointed...
