  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Went to pay a visit to my Hyundai dealership to see if there as a drop on interest rates for the remaining 2013s. Not yet but I believe when the current promo finishes at the end of the month, the interest rates on the 13 Gennys will drop. Fingers crossed.

Anyhow, a gray/black interior V8 Genesis landed at the dealer this morning. Just looked around and checked it out. Sales reps do not have access to the keys unless someone is genuinely interested, Looks nice. No discounts whatsoever. Full pop or go home!

Just thought I would announce it.

Which dealership were you at? I am in Ottawa as well and I'm keen to see the new car (although I'm planning to wait until the 2016 MY).

You do realize this will not most likely be until fall of 2015 right? ;)

I dropped by the dealer yesterday and hoped to see a 2015. The only one on the lot was a white 3.8. As I approached it, I saw that it was full of passengers and had a temp license. By the time I reached it, it pulled out and was gone. No others on the lot.

Yep, my current car's (2012V6 Tech) warranty on the electronics will run out at the end of July, 2015, so am looking to replace it in the fall of 2015. My current car was the sales manager's car / demo that I bought in Sept. 2013 and got it for what i believe was a pretty good price knowing that the new model was due out for 2015 and that I could let the first year go by then pick up the 2016 MY which will (hopefully) have a few bugs worked out. If the 2015 MY happens to still be getting really good reviews with no issues, I could pick up a 2015 at the end of the season.

I'm pretty disappointed that the only way to get the 9.2" screen and DIS is to go with the V8. I've been happy with the V6's that I've had and, with the AWD being standard on all Canadian models, the hit on fuel mileage going to the V8 AWD is pretty hard to justify on top of paying the extra $$ to get into the V8 which I don't really want. Will wait and see. In the meantime I'm curious to see the 2105 MY.

That is part of the Ultimate Package also available on the 3.8.

Yeah, that is a long time to wait. I assume he will he will be on heroin until then to help ease the pain.

Only in the U.S. Here in the Great White North, apparently it's only available on the V8 which is only available fully loaded. I'm (foolishly) hoping they will come to their senses for the 2016 model and make the V6 Ultimate package available here in Canada.

Mark 888 - I'll try to make it another 15 months without resorting to chemical support.

My dealer (traded for) a V8 5.0 gray interior and silver exterior. I was to lazy to go down and drive it, so someone bought it (I did go look at it before it left the lot ... looks great, but wanted to drive it to see how it felt vs the 3.8. I drove the 3.8 with Tech previously and it just did not feel near as solid as my 2013 Rspec ---- it just didn't, period.

There is still a White with gray interior V8 Ultimate at another dealer about 80 miles away. There are discounts for Hyundai buyers etc. I should have gone to the dealers and driven the V8 while it was here in town.

As mentioned, the previous day I drove the 3.8 to check out the seats, but I need the V8, but it will cost me, and I will get killed on trading my 9 month old 2013 Rspec.

If my dealer doesnt get the color of V8 that i want, or doesnt discount as an out of town dealer will, I assume I'll just go with the out of town dealer, but i prefer to stay with my local dealer.

Whats the advice from folks on the forum regarding going with local in town dealer vs going with dealer 80 miles away? Thxs in advance for the input.

PS -- there are plenty of 3.8's at numerous dealers now, and there are many many more coming in from the 'in-transit' info I looked at. My local dealer is getting in 3 V8 Ultimates soon. If I'm going to do this, might as well get it over with. The seats are pretty good, but wish they had the upper seat-back adjustment as BMW does. Regards.

You can get service at any Hyundai dealer, so probably does not matter. Any dealer will welcome your regular service business - it's where they make most of their money.

Bank Street Hyundai south of Hunt Club

Yikes!! I'll bite my tongue and just suggest that you run far and run fast. BTW Hyundai on Huntclub is part of the same group.

I actually leased my first Genesis from Bank St. and had it serviced there for awhile. Two of the biggest mistakes I have ever made based on the experiences I had. They are just down the road from me but I happily drive to the other end of town to avoid dealing with them. As they say though "Your mileage may vary".

Shouldn't your 2012 warranty run until 5 yrs? So if you bought it in 2011 the warranty will go until 2016. Just curious, but good luck with your plan. Regards.

Thanx for the warning but I have too much influence to have them get the better of me. I also know the GM of HuntClub Hyundai well, and he has done lots for me in the past.

So if they are just down the road from you, then we do not live far apart. I am also in the xouth end of the city

If you are friends with the GM, that's a different story than walking in off the street. It never hurts to have friends in the right places does it?

Yeah, we're in the south end as well, a few Km's south of Bank St. Hyundai.

Ya, I know the sales managers, sales people at the dealership, and the sevice guys somewhat know me. We have bought many cars from them, and influenced others to do the same. I am east on HuntClub near Conroy.
