  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

After test driving the vehicle for a couple hours and spending time with the local dealer, got told that some colours might end up being in slightly later batches. I have a Mauna Red order coming in from day 1 deposit and was told yesterday that I should expect my car to hit the port in about 4-5 weeks and take delivery before the end of July. If I had ordered a different colour I could have it up to 4 weeks sooner, but still no big deal. Can also confirm the facial recognition and fingerprint sensor work just fine in Canada even with the keys across the city away.

Wondering how many of you guys still have a dashboard that looks like this. Should I be concerned?

When I ordered my car on Feb 9 th, I had chosen Atacama copper. My dealer told me right away that this color would take longer from a memo from Genesis. I changed to white and now my car is due in a couple of weeks. Is anybody getting a Cooper colored car soon?

Mine looks the same... Dealer has given me no indication about whether I should expect the car within the next few months or few years.

Afraid to ask... Which dealer?

What build numbers are you ?

Mine looks like this, I need my VIN (or another Advanced model) for insurance. For delivery it says the dealer will contact me.

They offered me low end for my trade so I declined for now.

were they appraise above or below Canadian Black book value?

$200 over the low black book value. My car is in great shape so I will debate this with them, also I have a set of snow tires on factory rims that can be included for the right price.

That's part of my problem as well, my car has All season mounted on Aftermarket, and Winter mounted on the OEM wheels.
I don't want to give them my snow tires and aftermarket wheels.
You could go to Costco and swap for 200$. (That's what I did for the initial installation).
There's no need to give them the snow sets, and you could easily find takers on marketplace; unless storage is an issue for you.

Almost the exact same thing for me... I was willing to accept it only because they offered me a guarantee that the price wouldn't change regardless how long the gv60 took to come in. But now that nothing is being processed I'm getting a sinking feeling that what I'll be left with is a "well you can take it or leave it" scenario. Even though I have it in writing.

Mine looked the same until my salesperson called to say he had a VIN and my vehicle would be in next week. Things moved very quickly. In my case, it was just one week between that and delivery.

Well, least that's comforting. So you have recieved your GV60?

Unless your trade requires tons of reconditioning or it has a major accident history you can do much better in the current used car market. Get a few alternate dealer quotes. In general I have never traded in a vehicle for less than high end blackbook. Right now there are dealers that are desperate for any used car inventory and will pay premium. When I recently traded my Kona EV I knew I had a desirable vehicle and shopped my trade with a few dealers and got offers from mid black book to 6K above high end. Ultimately it was the dealer that I purchased my Ioniq 5 that gave me the best offer because not only did he give me the best purchase deal I also saved over 4K in taxes on the trade value vs selling it third party or privately.

Any time I've bought new, I've gotten a trade-in value from the dealer and then marketed the car myself to see if I could get better. Nothing forces you to trade the car in. If you think they're offering you below market, it should be easy for you to find a buyer willing to pay more.

This time around is the only time I've been unable to find a private buyer to beat the trade-in value. Likely a combination of the short window for sale (just a couple weeks' notice my car was arriving), and the price point of my current vehicle.
