GV60 Canadian Deposit - Local Dealer Information & Timelines

For me i am know number 50 i got an update yesterday.(gv60 performance himalayan grey navy blue interior order on may 02).I was at rank 140 on july 11.

This looks like a pace of about 30 a month, on par with the pace of roughly 25 per month I saw with my own Performance. If the trend continues, you may be in production in December, and expect delivery in February.

Mike I think you are seeing mostly cancelled orders being re allocated. 2 weeks ago I got notified by dealer that my car was almost going to be built. I thought great I should have it by November at some point knowing from my previous factory orders it takes 6-8 weeks from production in Korea to landing at a dealer. Well I was little surprised to see my car land at my dealer a week later with many of the typical protective plastic removed from the car, like a partial PDI had already occurred. I am pretty sure its a cancelled reallocation.

Makes sense.

Got the long awaited call this morning, and did confirm I will take the car. Otherwise, Genesis Canada would probably have allocated the car to the next customer in line waiting for a White on Black Performance.

I believe my car was on the Elektra that left Ulsan on September 26th and arrived in Vancouver on October 15th. This is just speculation from me, I did not ask my dealer, but it is consistent with the two latest updates I got from them.

I am located in Montreal, Quebec, so I expect transit to take another 3 - 4 weeks.

Yes.

I bought the 19 inches Yokohama kit from Genesis listed at $3249, and requested to change the tires for 4 Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV 235/55 R 19 105R XL, and plan to take delivery with the winters installed.

Last I checked rmy ranking only advanced 4 spots in two weeks!! The dealer seems to think this is normal. Does anyone have an explanation, because I can't find one?

My production ranking certainly slowed down significantly as we got nearer the finish line

This is a tough question, and we can only speculate.

Im my particular case, progression seems to have slowed down: I decreased by 218 spots in 4 months, for an average of about 55 spots a month, then it decreased by 23 spots a month for the last two before I went to production. These numbers seem better than the 4 spots you saw in 2 weeks.

I was told they run production by batches, based on "popularity" of a particular model and color combo, and that our rank is for our specific combo.

So, my assumption is that your model and color combo may be less "popular" and they may produce it less often than others. Again, this is only speculation and your dealer should be the one in the best position to give you advise on this...

Can you share your own progression and location?

I was under the impression that Hanauma Mint over Glacier White interior is quite a popular choice, but then again, I have not hear of many receiving this combination.
I am in GTA area and currently ranked #12.

I ordered on May 02, 2022 performance model gray himalayan +torrent navy interior.I am number 38. I got an update yesterday at this rate my car will be manufactured in December.

Genesis expects that of those 1,500, some 60 per cent will actually follow through on their purchase, so in short, if you order a GV60 today, you’d likely see it on your driveway between six months and one year from now.

I guess it is all due to the build sequence and its relationship to the rank. They seem to be built in batches by model and color choice which means that some customers can get their car sooner even though they placed the deposit much later than others. Not at all uncommon in the industry, but frustrating nevertheless.

I am in Toronto as well and I am think to put Toyo Celsius all weather tire, what do you think about all weather tire instead of winter tire?

All weather tires are almost useless in the winter

just ordered on my parts department's recommendation Continental IceContact xtrm winter rubber, they sound pretty new so no real reviews. My usual go to are Blizzaks, good tires but typically aren't as grippy after your second winter. I am hoping the Continentals last a little longer, plus they seem to pander to EVs on their website. That said not sure what makes them EV special.

They are more expensive than others, you have to make a deposit to order them and you wait 8 months for delivery?
