  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Sal's price is marginally higher than another purveyor of KDM accessories based in the US. Obviously sourcing directly from Korea is another thing entirely - both price and QC issues.

For us in Canada the variance is shipping - the other site ships free in North America for orders over $99.00 while the least expensive option for a full rebadge set of emblems through Sal's store was $21US and went as high as $185US shipped to my postal code in Toronto. Exchange rate is at the mercy of our credit card companies. Assuming the other site uses the least expensive option I'm inclined to spend the extra few dollars to order through Sal and support the site. My 2 cents.

Hey, people. Sal here. :) If you see items in my store that cost less elsewhere, please let me know. I try to price everything as low as possible - though I may not buy in bulk quantities that other resellers do...

The new Genesis wing emblems are costing more than previous generations, so there's that - plus having them hydroprinted in black or carbon is something done before I receive them. Since we're not allowed to purchase directly from Hyundai Mobis (the creator of the OEM emblems), we need to go through a third party for that - AND a fourth party for the black/carbon, then they're shipped from South Korea, so there are various expenses.

When I first created the forum store, I figured it would be nice to have an honest, reliable entity to purchase from IN the United States. I heard a lot of horror stories about items sold on eBay taking weeks to be shipped and figured shipping from the USA would be quick, inexpensive and convenient.

With orders shipping to Canada, there is the exchange rate and import fees - and shipping is quite expensive. A real shame considering we're just to the South. Very disappointing, but it is what it is...

I’ve purchased a couple of accessories from KDM

I consider Sal’s prices to be very reasonable… with extremely prompt shipping!

I’m a very satisfied KDM customer!!!

Thank you very much! I appreciate the kind words and your support. :)

I second the positive experience when buying from Sal. I purchased an item from Sal that I would have preferred a different style/color that I found online from another seller. Sal and the team researched to see if they could get my preferred color but could not. Instead of buying my first choice, I chose to buy from Sal because I knew the amazing customer service he had provided and I wanted to support him.

Thanks @Sal Collaziano

Thank you very much! I don’t ask for reviews, so it’s very nice and unexpected when I do get one. :)

I have a 2.5t Sport Prestige… About to install the JB4 tomorrow… I’ve been looking for a BOV… Which one did you use?

Why do you want a BOV? The GV70 has a diverter valve which recirculates the air. If you vent the air into the atmosphere the car will lose boost, run rich, and you won't get all the gains you're expecting from the JB4.

Idk about the 2.5 but the 3.5 has a map sensor, meaning the air is measured at the throttle body and it would be adjusted and not run rich. You also wouldn't lose boost, however you would lose boost response.

You're right, I assumed the 2.5 had a MAF sensor, I checked and it has a map sensor as well. Thanks for the correction on the boost terminology!

One more update. Blacked out chrome tailpipe tips. They were the only bright chrome on the car. Thanks to LQQK on the forum for posting his process for this. Used high heat paint and went with a semi gloss finish. Much happier with the look now. View attachment 47046
Did you remove the tips? Did you need to sand or prime before painting? I hate chrome and want this black! Lol please let me know your steps of how you did this

This is going to be my plan once I find some free time:
  1. Lightly sand chrome tips with 300 grit paper.
  2. Clean chrome with surface cleaner (example Sherwin Williams Ultra Clean)
  3. Tape off everything except the chrome tips
  4. Spray Dupli-Color automotive primer and adhesion promoter.
  5. Spray with High Gloss and High Heat black paint (Rustoleum)

I also saved this picture so I knew when removing or replacing only the tips wasn't an easy solution.

Is it just me or does this look like it's sagging in the back? I was going to get Storm springs but if they make the car look like it's doing a Carolina Squat I'll pass.
Yeah, I wasn't going to say anything 'cause I am also not a fan of the bling colour on the wheels (like the design tho), but I did notice when zooming in that there is (approximate from eye) about a 1 to 1.5" difference in gap between top of tire and top of fender opening between front and back. So, yes, looks like a sag, but it could be perspective? Or maybe he has something loaded up in the trunk when the picture was taken?

Thanks for this. Curious, do you have experience with combining the duplicolor and rustoleum? I ask because I have never tried this combo and know that some paints, even if both are oil based (vs laquer like some Krylon), can react badly when combined.

I too like the idea of blacking them out, but wonder if med-long term, the stainless will be easier to maintain (than paint that could chip or peel or even get discoloured or stained from heat, elements etc. I would rather keep it stainless than have that happen to blacked out tips.

Honestly, you’re absolutely right… I just found this out upon doing some more research… Make a short story shorter… I’m in love with the JB4… Did a Throttle Response Controller as well… Seamless

Sorry for slow response, for some reason I didn't see the notification I was quoted...

I did use the duplicator and rustoleum on a vent above my fireplace and everything looks good. However, I think you could also very easily skip the Duplicolor if you want as long as you sand down the chrome a bit.

I also thought about what happens if the paint begins to chip or fade and the solution for that I guess would be to repaint. I consider it to be the same issue I have with the Audi chrome exhaust tips that always have carbon build-up. I have to use steel-wool and goo-gone about twice a year and then a metal conditioner every time to keep the chrome looking good. I'm guessing the paint will hold up much better and maybe only need a touch-up every couple years.

No worries, and thx. I too use steel wool every now and then and find it cleans up fairly quickly, but I suppose it depends on the vehicle. Will have to think about this as a project for the late spring.

I installed these Genesis oem floor liners today. Perfect fit. Highly recommended!
