  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Did you install the sub yourself? And does it sound good? My past experiences are that the factory head unit always sounds worse with audio upgrades. A new HU always sounds good, but not willing to do that on this car, as I love it.

Also my first turbo...so can you explain what the blow off valve's benefit is?

Hi, yes my bro and I install the sub... the 16 speaker lexicon system sound really good with the sub....thump hard as F#&k. Tap the stock amp subwoofer line with an audio controller then to an amp to run the bigger sub woofer added. The blow off Valve gives you that swoosh sound when releasing pressure from the turbo...really help the turbo and longivity. Also, let's people know your car is turbo if they try something when accelerating.

I am assuming you ran an amp as well for the sub? How hard was it to get to the back of the stereo? Or is there some other crazy way to tie in without tearing the dash apart?

Not hard at all, amp is back passenger side cargo panel. Pretty easy to get to and take apart just be gentle with all the clips removing it. You will tap the stock sub woofer line from amp to a audio controller and then to another mono amp to get clear power.

Also. How do you remove the front badge without damaging anything?

First use masking tape and stick around the emblem.... then I use a heat gun or blow dryer to heat up the emblem....make sure it just heat up enough to slowly peel... there is 2 placent tab on both side...just slow pull off. Should be simple. Very simple removal.

Sorry to keep harping on this, but if you tap into the stock amp, is it just the power to run the extra added amp? Just worried about burning on the stock amp if it is also drawing wattage from it to power the new one. Hopefully I am making sense here. Installed many subs / amps.

No u gonna tap stock sub woofer line to get signal only with an audio controller... you will need another amp to power the external sub woofer your adding...the stock system stay untouch.

Appreciate it😉

Merry Christmas.

I wonder if Santa will bring me a “thump hard as F#&k” sub.

Looks killer. How much did the Storm springs lower it? And how much did they run?

Also, what audio controller did you use and did you happen to take a picture of the amp after tapping the lines (to save me having to find the wiring diagram and figure out which lines are which lol)

How did you install these so nicely? I guess I am less patient when it’s this cold. Any tips?
