Getting familiar with the group...
I have had my 2010 Genesis 4.6 for a little over 2.5 years, and during the entire time, I've had issues with a noise that was first thought to be a tire problem. I replaced the OEM tires with Serenity tires which did not fix the problem. Even though these tires had been road force balanced and aligned, the tires didn't wear evenly. The Hyundai service manager replaced the Serenities with a set of Nitto Motivos. These are some very good tires for the price. That said, the noise was still present. Fast forward-the rear differential, propeller shaft, and front hubs and bearings were replaced, but the noise remained. Hyundai even switched the wheels and tires from another Genesis with the same results. The noise sounds like a kind of harmonic resonance. I bought this vehicle new and to my knowledge, it has never been in an accident. The service manager has suggested that the resonance may be coming from the transmission. I can't help but wonder if my Genesis might be headed for the lemon heap. Any comments? Oh, and I'm waiting for Hyundai to send in an engineer sometime next week.
