  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Have you seen any/many Genesis on the streets?

I'm sure they'll get their act together. Give them some time. It sounds like the upcoming CUV will be a good bet for you...

I cannot believe someone who will tolerate any missteps, would have made the mistake of buying a G80 in the first place. Heads are going to roll for that goof.

Not all dealers are going to like Genesis’s new plan and those that don’t of course are going to bad mouth it. The details are not even out yet and they can’t wait to say they don’t know what to make of it. Surprising?

I think the plan is fine. The original plan with only 100 dealerships was, in my opinion, bad. Not enough service locations. I think they'll do fine selling the Genesis vehicles out of Hyundai dealerships for the time being...

Let me propose an alternate scenario. When you go to the dealership to buy a car you ask what’s your best price. They give you their high price. Do you then say automatically OK let’s do it. Or do you think I can do better than this and make a counter proposal that’s a lot lower in the hope that you will meet in between? Business to business is not much different. Genesis made a very radical initial proposal. Dealers said ”you must be crazy, we want to do nothing and get to sell Genesis like we do now ( or something like that )”. They sat down together, showed their cards, and Genesis made a new more moderate proposal that might fly or might not, we will see. But I do believe that they wouldn’t have gotten to this point if they started with the current proposal as their first offer. Corporate and franchises are adversaries here, each has their own vision, and as I said before, this is just the art of doing business. Just my opinion.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
The sedan is a dying breed and people of my age and our aching backs don't like to get in and out of a low slung sedan.

One reason I have a sedan is my wife cannot get in and out of a SUV easily. The other reason is that for my use, there is no benefit to having an SUV. Sedans may be less of a sales factor but will never be gone.

Sure, it could have all just been part of the negotiation process...

A full-size large SUV like the Cadillac Escalade would be challenging to get in and out of - but a small CUV that rides on a car platform would be easier - as they're really no bending or hopping in our out. You just slide in...

Getting back to the title of this thread - Have you seen any/many Genesis on the streets
Here is a challenge for anyone to beat. My street has only 40 houses. Besides my Genesis I have a neighbor that has one in their driveway, had it before I got mine. Yesterday a visitor parked in the street with the exact same model and color as mine (and that color is not very common). So that’s three Genesis within a few hundred feet. Has Anyone else else seen a cluster like that outside of a dealer’s lot?

Not in a neighborhood but I was at an intersection with 3 Genesis cars at the same time. When the light changed and I pulled through a fourth one approached in the oncoming traffic.

Well you have me beat with that!

I've seen three in a small parking lot simultaneously. We have a lot over here for some reason. I mean - they're great cars - so I'm not surprised. But it seems there are a lot more here than other places around the U.S...

No, this was in Palatine at Lake Cook and Old Rt. 53. I see quite a few on I-90 on my drive to work.

I live in a small (3k population) town. There are two Genesis in town. Mine and the Mayor. We both purchased them in 2014. See very few in Williamsport or State College, PA, although the dealers say they sell a lot of them. Both dealers beg me to trade up, but won't give a decent trade price. I go way out of town for my Genesis needs. Get treated much better.

I work in the Greater Toronto Area and they are few and far between...however there are 3 of us at my work! One fella has a 2010, there's mine, and another just bought a G80 having been impressed by the other 2. No, I don't work at a Hyundai dealership lol.
