  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Have you seen any/many Genesis on the streets?

Was out in Beverly Hills, CA last week on business and saw 3 within 15 minutes pass by my hotel room (corner or Beverly Dr and Pico). I just happened to be looking out the window while chatting on the cell phone. None of them we re-badged and all three were V6's. Must be a very popular car in the LA area!

Today I saw 4 different Genesis on the roads of South Florida, Black, Sliver, white, and grey blue. 3 had the badges 1 (white) did not. I've got to admit the wings makes the Genesis STAND OUT!!! Yes I love the fact the Genesis is a Hyundai but the flying "H" doesn't belong on the Genesis.

Yesterday, I pulled up behind a red car at a stoplight less than a mile from my house in Downers Grove, IL. While waiting for the green, I said to my wife, "Hey, that's a Genny" (a red one). That's the first one I saw on the streets since I bought mine in July/09.

There is a black 4.6 with wing emblem on trunk in my neighborhood, only saw it once. And I've seen only one other Genesis on the road.

If you ever see a silver 3.8 with the wings and a Panthers personalized license plate, it may be me.

Today was Genny day here in South Jersey. I saw a black V6 getting on the turnpike this morning. Then on the way to a customer a black V8 (first I've seen on the street), Champagne V6, and an identical twin to my Cabernet Red Pearl. It figures I was driving a company car (Pacifica :( )

Odd, because I usually go a week without seeing any.

I'm in southwestern Ct and until today have not seen a Genesis on the road. At the gym this morning, I pulled into the last space of the packed lot...right next to a Blue 3.8. I wanted to hang around until the owner came out to see his/her reaction.

I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I saw the first other Genesis today since I bought mine on Oct. 2.

At some time between 2:30 and 3 p.m. this afternoon, I was driving south on St. Laurent Boulevard waiting in a long line to turn left onto Montreal Road. Half a dozen cars made it around on the red light. I was left in a line of 5 or 6 six cars caught at the next red light. I spotted a black Genesis turning the corner. By the time I could get around the corner, the black Genesis was long gone. I drove fast along Montreal Road hoping to see the other Genesis again but never did. If this was you and you are reading this, let's hear from you! :)

Finally saw my first Genesis Coupe (Mirabeau Blue) on the road Friday afternoon... getting onto the I-405 freeway southbound from Springdale Road in Orange County, SoCal. Distributor tags, two ladies in the vehicle. And they were driving it, not putt-putting it. I happened to be in my 4.6 sedan - not one of my other cars for once - they eyeballed it a few times as we went back-n-forth on the freeway.

I've seen several Genesis Sedans lately; probably one every 2 or 3 days. Usually on Valley View Blvd/Bolsa Chica Ave in the Cypress/Huntington Beach area since that's a road I frequently travel. I haven't seen that light blue one in my neighborhood since I posted it a few months ago... guess it was a visitor.

As I stated in an earlier post, I have seen a few more here and there around the Boca/S. Florida area. I saw one last night (11/1) at around 6:45 driving North on 441 between Yamato and Clint Moore. The Gennie was silver. What caught my eye was on the rear end the person had "Limited Edition" in the lower left corner. The car also seemed to have side vents around the top of the front quarter panel. The pin stripping was also very detailed, and the rear emblem seemed to have bigger wings. I had not seen one like that previously. Does anybody know anything about this "Limited Edition" Genesis?

Haven't seen anything, anywhere about a Limited Edition. Maybe someone is trying to "Buick" their Hyundai! :D

Live in Charlotte, NC and have seen more and more genesis sedans and a fair amount of coupes.I will buy a 2010 genesis 4.6L in a month or so.The wife is sold on the car and has had mercedes and lexus in another marriage, but says this car is as nice and a great value,we both were impressed with the car and loved the stereo.

Another sighting last Saturday in Danbury CT, i was in the far right lane trying to switch lanes to go into Chili's restaurant for lunch with my family. I signaled and the other Genesis let me over, he/she had no badge but the car looked good none the less. This is the first one I've seen in CT although I've only been living here for 2 months.

My first sightings, two in one day - after 6+ months of looking! In eastern Ventura County (Southern Calif.) spotted a satin pearl and a platinum metallic, both appeared to be base models judging by the wheels. I was beginning to feel as though I was all alone in this part of So Cal!

Starting to see more and more on the road. I saw a Red Cabernet one Wednesday afternoon that was heading west on Rte 58 near Emporia, VA. On my return home this morning I was joined by a spotless Dark Blue V8, both of us were heading west on Rte 58 between Suffolk and Emporia, VA. I lost him somewhere near Emporia before I got on 95 heading south. He was badged all over. Looked nice. He rolled his window down at a stoplight and asked me why I wasn't badged in the front. I told him I was too lazy for that!:D

No Genesis seen in Round Rock... I am not sure how large of and area that is. Do you work for Dell?

Mark
Ball Ground, GA

No, I'm retired. Round Rock is about 100,000 I think. It is considered part of the Austin Metro area and there are probably a million in the area.

We just got back from a few days in the New York City area. I spotted a black Genesis sedan in the parking lot of the Comfort Inn at Nanuet on Nov. 25 I was unloading our car when I first noticed it. It had New York plates. I made a note to come back and take a closer look when I came down to the lot again in a few minutes. Unfortunately, by the time I got back down, the Genesis had disappeared and, so far as I could see, never came back.

But all in all in almost 2000km of driving between Ottawa and NYC this is the only Genesis I saw. Seems to me I should have seen more. I was on the lookout constantly.
