  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm in the garage of my apt complex with everything disassembled. Have access the the back of the posiion bulb. How do I pull it out of the light housing without removing whole assembly?

On my iPhone now. Can't leave this here and tried a search but too hard to find on phone. Can anyone give me a quick answer?

Needle nose pliers and patience. If the bulb falls in- it will disappear into the housing and not within sight. Trust me- Happened when replacing with LED's.

Surprisingly... getting to the light was the easy part. Getting the position bulb out was not. Why they would design the car like that is beyond me. I have pretty big paws so I had the get the girlfriend to help out. Problem is shes too weak to pull out the bulb. A few cuts and sore thumbs later the lights have been changed.

Word of advice... Test each light before you reassemble. The LEDs that I ordered from VLEDS only work when put in a certain way... sometimes the light needed to be removed, rotated, and reinserted.

Thanks for the help.

Getting to the lights are easy as you mentioned, but at least in my car the position lights were easy to pull out. No issues.

"To change these, you only need to pull out the plastic connector from the back of the high beam bulbs, which gives you more room to work and this will give you access to the position bulbs to pull out. I used a needle nose pliers, which made it easy to pull out the bulbs etc."

Above quote is mine from another thread.
