  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just got my 5.0 R Spec, and love the car. I traded my 4.6 non tech 2010, which had streaming audio. The manual says that the new car should have that as well, but I can not find it. I have a HTC Titan(Windows Phone), which paired via bluetooth almost immediately, with no problems via calls, phonebook, etc. When I press disc/aux to get to the streaming bluetooth audio access as the manual states and my other car allowed....nothing.......

I can not seem to find a way to do this. Any answers?

Thanks
Craig

If that's the Tech package, you can't do it. Seems illogical, but the lesser package can, yours can not.

I have a 2012 with tech and premium packages and I can't stream music from the internet.

I took the car to the local Hyundai dealer and the mechanic sat in my car with me and we worked all possibilities regarding streaming. Nothing worked. So the
mechanic suggested the following and it works, although it is not streaming, it gets you the internet music via the iphone.

Radio Shack has a cable (male on both ends) for about $6.00. One side plugs into the aux the other male plug into the iphone (I have a 4s), go to either music on the iphone or to any internet radio station and voila, ersatz streaming.

PS for the ipod to work, you need the cable for the Hyundai.

Leonjay, that's how my daughter does it, too. We use the special Hyundai cable, though. You can get them for $15 on eBay.

The difference is this. When you use the 3.5mm male plug in the headphone jack of the iPod/iPhone, the signal you are sending to your radio/head unit has passed through all the iPod electronics, been converted to analog and degraded.

When you use the Huundai cable that plugs directly into the bottom of the iPod, you're getting the digital signal directly off the iPod harddrive, just as if you had a thumb drive plugged into your usb outlet.
