Dropped the front bumper today and followed the instructions from the video I linked in the previous thread. It was crazy easy. I didn't have nearly the trouble the guy had in the video getting the actual headlight housings out after unscrewing the bolts. I think the 3.8 engine's intake ports were blocking his removal previously and the way they are aligned on the 5.0's is different. I was shocked how fast the process was. I allocated 3 hours away from family today to do this and I was done in an hour and a half.
Also noticed that the original HID's that were in the vehicle were Osram Xenarc's which is good to know that Genesis didn't cheap out on low grade HID bulbs. I'm guessing it's the design of the projector housing or the poor stock headlight aim from the factory that gives people poor illumination. BTW it'll be a while before the new Night Breakers are fully broken in and I can report if they are worth the upgrade over the stock bulbs but so far so good. Next up is replacing the spark plugs!
