Edi,
Are you saying you drive around through the winter in your summer tire setup?
Aside from the rubber that makes the difference as the Winter Tires remain flexible in cold the Summer tires are designed for channeling water and not so much groveed for snow/slush to pass through.
I am just curious what is the brand and model of you summer tires that you can drive in winter?I've never had a problem and I just keep my summer tires on all year
I think you made the right decision, and it looks like it is very good price at Costco.alright there might be a change of plans here. I can get Blizzak DMV2's on the stock wheels for like $680 at Costco. I know on other cars, lots of people downsize their wheels for winter and go with a larger sidewall. I tried searching here but apparently 18's are hit or miss on whether they clear the brakes. I don't want to play the "will this 18" wheel fit" game. So I might just bite the bullet and do winter tires on the stock wheels.
I'll keep the all seasons and have them mounted to some wheels in the summer.
They are Lexani LX-Six tires, i think the fronts might be different though, cant remember off the top of my head. 245/35/20 front and 285/30/20 rear.
Yes, they are called UHP - Ultra High Performance tires, but still they are all season tires. And it is great that it works for you so you don't have to mess with two sets of wheels.i guess you're right, its what they call a 'performance' all season, so whatever that means haha. regardless I dont change from these tires in the snowy season and they get around pretty well
