  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have the phone paired with bluetooth, but when I start Apple Maps the audio doesn't come over the car stereo nor is it played by the phone itself. Total silence until I turn off Bluetooth.

Did you try unpairing your phone and re-pairing it? I stream through Bluetooth with no issues. Start your music on your phone then press the Media button on the dash and your good to go.

Didn't re-pair. Maps works the same as music in this case?

Didn't need to re-pair, your advice to press the media button and go fixed the problem. Thanks!

Glad I could help. Happy motoring :D

I was having the same problem up here in 2023 (albeit with my 2015 car) until I remembered I have no use for Bluetooth now that I have (wired) CarPlay. Turned off and unpaired Bluetooth connection; problem solved. 😬
