  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How rare is the Genesis in your area?

I've been wondering how rare the Genesis is in the USA and other parts of the world. The Sedan and Equus aren't sold in The Netherlands, but the Coupe is. My dealer told that my Coupe is one of about 7 in the whole country! So far I've never seen another on the Dutch roads, but I've seen one in Belgium. All the others were at car shows or dealerships.

I guess that it's way more common in the USA, but how often can you see one?

I live in the Evansville Indiana area and travel to Nashville and Indianapolis regularly and yet to see one on the road. I have a 2009....I'm sure there are some but I haven't seen any.

Not at all rare in my area near Austin, Texas. There are 3 in our subdivision of 65-odd homes and at least 3 more that I see fairly regularly on the highway outside the subdivision. One, in Driftwood, posts here.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I have had mine 15 months and hardly saw any in Fort Worth, Texas, until the last month; now I see one or two different ones a day

I see several around Athens and Atlanta every week.

The philosophy of solipsism would explain that. This is the idea that your mind alone exists, and the objective world and other minds do not exist. Everything you think you hear, or see (such as posts in this forum) are just illusory. As Descartes said: "I think therefore I am" but everything else is suspect and cannot be proved, That might explain why there are no other Genesis sedans besides the one you think you own.

I could swear I saw Keanu Reeves driving a Genesis around here the other day. He was being followed by a bunch of guys in dark suits and sunglasses. They were all driving Chrysler 300s.

I have been actively SEARCHING for the Genesis (sedan) on the roads near me for the last two years. I have seen one beautiful black rebadged sedan (once), and I regularly see a white one near my work. That's it. Two years. Saw more of them in a parking lot at Disney World on my last visit than I did here at home in all this time.

Coupes... I've seen more of. My buddy at work drives a dark gray one - beautiful color, wish it was available on the sedan.

I've seen only a few around the South Twin Cities metro area.

In Ukraine there are like 12 2008 genesis sedans and one of them is mine. 14 speakers, without navigation screen, air ride, cooled front seats, electric back seat this was only one trim for like 63 000 and no one was bought, but then crisis of 2008 come, and price was dropped to 36k and all cars was sold in one day! Most of them to main prosecutor's office) I bought mine in April 2011,secondhand, 14k km on odo for 37,5k . Since then I saw genesis only 2 times, one of which was my own reflection :) now only one dealer In whole country has 2012 air ride, tech pack and all other blows and whistles but price is 72k...I think they will wait for another crisis )) At September I had a car trip to Europe, and even lambo drivers in Italy apply brakes to take a closer look for my rebadged genesis ) most common question of the day: is it Bentley?

I have seen a few around Madison, WI but they are fairly scarce. I have told several people that I was going to purchase a Genesis and only one of the dozen or so that I have mentioned it to has heard of the car? I guess I am weird since have been following the car since it was first introduced.

Everyone calls my Genesis a Merc, they get wierded out and say it's a really good looking car. :D

I think a majority of people have never seen a Genesis before.

Have seen one R-Spec and a used coupe both on dealers lots. Guess most drivers in MT need AWD. Us old guys grew up with rear wheel drives and bad tires...didn't have the money for decent wheels.

We live in Western Ne. and I have yet to another genesis. I have seen a couple in Ft. Collins Co. and I saw one on I-76 just outside of Denver. Not seeing any in western Ne. is not a suprise as we are 2-1/2 hrs to the nearest Hyundai dealer. One to the North Rapid City, Sd or West to Cheyenne, Wy.

Here in Central Florida I see a Genny about every 3 weeks or so. However, the second day I had mine I was pulling out of a 7-11 as another white 4.6 was pulling in. We both did a double take, gave the high sign and went our seperate ways.

Live in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ and I have seen 3 besides my own. The car simply put, "gets attention!" Love it...makes me feel smarter for having bought it:D

San Francisco Bay Area

I have seen only one - that was in the parking lot at my golf course. It was important, as before I saw it I was planning on buying a Lexus GS350 or Infinity M35.

They are very rare in the San Francisco Bay Area - I wanted to buy a 2011 Sapphire Blue 4.6, and ended up buying one in Texas, which I am still waiting to arrive (but that's another story...)
