  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How to get a new Genesis with a Lexus customer experience

Well....
"Heresy", sayeth the fantasy writers at GMA marketing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
They can say anything they want
When the overwhelming majoring of the business is selling and servicing Hyundai's there is only so high of a threshold you can expect

Have you owned a Mercedes, BMW or Lexus in the past and have those experiences as a litmus test for comparison
That was my point..I have owned all of those( and Cadillac) and the Hyundai/Genesis experience is just not up to that level
However, if you dont have the same set of expectations you are far less likely to be disappointed
The good news is that you are also paying less...
Really, that extensive coffee bar, full business center and concierge service is not free
Years ago, I patronized Park Place Mercedes in Dallas Texas with two different Mercedes I owned over time. That is the best dealership experience I have ever had. However you never had the impression that they were cutting you ANY financial favors

Yes, my wife drives a BMW. I traded a 2018 Audi in for the Genesis. And before the Audi I had an 2017 Acura (Kind of a luxury car)
But in all fairness, It has been 7 years since I had my last Hyundai and serviced. I have not my genesis services yet. It is due in January, so I am going to submit for the Valet service soon as where I live, the winter is the busy time of the year.
I usually take my car to the dealer and wait for it but I want to take advantage of the valet service as my dealer is kind of far. My Audi dealer offered free valet service as well, but I never used it.

The big difference I have seen in the service is the food spread, and the BMW dealer has someone come over and update my on my car every so often. If BMW has to keep my car overnight (happened twice) they walk me next door and rent me a chevy, as they never have had a loaner available.

Yes, after reading this forum for the past 10 months, I am worried. But I do have three dealers within reach. One is becoming or already has become a stand alone dealer. The one I got my car as is the number 1 seller of Genesis in the world, well at least when I got mine in Feb.

Sales is one thing but has nothing to do with service. Did you meet the service manager. Talk to them about loaners, lead time, etc?

Actually I did. Whenever I buy a car. I call the service dept or walk up to the counter and tell them I am having a problem with my car and when could I bring it in. This dealer told me I would have to wait two days. That was acceptable to me. I asked if he had a loaner, and he said yes, buy probably a Hyundai. And I have no issue with that as long as it is just short term and not 8 weeks like some other people have waited to get their car back.

Understood well. What most people consider good service is poor to some arrogant prk that thinks he is better than everyone just because he has money. Affluence does not put you to the head of the line.
it does at the casinos.

it does at the casinos.
and it does everywhere else as well
Whether affluent( big spenders) demand it or not. They receive better service and attention on the whole
Again, having the right expectations for a dealership that has the overwhelming majority of their sales/service business with Hyundais will allow you to manage the reality.
