  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Q1.
For the HUD, did anyone find any problems mentioned in this video?

Whats more, If anyone tried any other HUD before(maybe in BMW etc..), what are pros and cons for Genesis's HUD?

Q2.
Is the navigation still working without the Internet?
This question could be break into two parts:
1. Can i search a address/restaurant offline?
2. Is the map data stored offline/(or in the HDD)

Q3.
Can I keep the rear view camera on while driving?
Thanks.

Q1.Like many of us have said that we totally disagree with his assesment of the HUD. I find the HUD to be very well defined, clear and informative. I’ve seen some before but none as good.
Q2. The Nav system works by itself and is stored on an onboard SD card. The internet connection is used for app downloads only. POIs can be searched from the internal NAV system or the google search system via key on rearview mirror whch uses an on board 3G modem for that purpose.
Q3. No the rear view camera .can not use while driving. Unless the system is altered in some way

(1) HUD is quite good. Are there limitations and could there be improvements? Sure. But it is without a doubt one of the best implementations across all manufacturers so far. The reality is, I suspect HUDs will become more and more prevalent so I suspect others will come along with more refinement.
(2) Nothing to add.
(3) alternatively, you could have the rear view camera while driving so long as you are driving in reverse.....

The HUD is awesome. You can send POI data to the car via Hyundai Bluelink to the car. All via your cell phone. Pretty cool option. Not to mention you can start your car from your phone as well.

Good point!

How common are head problems and electronics in general on the Ultimate 2015 V6?

Haven’t heard of a single one. To date only reappearing complaint is a sunroof a rattle and an on the V8s an exhaust or suspension sound under hard actions. For the introduction of a new model relative few complaints. One V6 poster had to have a transmission replaced. Theres a lot of 2015 posters on the forum.
