  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Where does the HUD get the data for the speed limit signs it posts on the windshield? Does it come from pre-loaded information that is in the Nav system that needs updating each year or is it coming from the onboard Verizon system that feeds data to Blue Link and Google?

Comes from the preloaded navigation info.

Good question. I have a Garmin GPS unit that displays speed limits, so I know that a GPS unit is capable of providing that info by itself. Garmin gets their map data from Navteq, which also supplies map data to many other GPS companies and map websites.

Thanks for the feedback. What did Hyundai charge in the past for Nav. updates? Is it a yearly or semi-yearly update to the maps?
