  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I understand the plan price includes freight and advertising fees. So the only item I should expect to "add" to the total would be dealer fees (usually a couple of hundred bucks) + TTL? Just wanted to get some clarification as I get closer to purchase.

If you qualify for Plan A:

Dealer Invoice adjusted by the following:
- Less 3% of (MSRP not including freight)
- Less Hyundai Circle Cash ($250)
- Less Current Consumer Rebate (if any, must meet qualifications) -I think that competitive $1500 rebate may also qualify here
+ Plus Freight (included in Plan Price you will be quoted)
+ Plus Advertising Fee (included in Plan Price you will be quoted)
= Total Price (plus Tax/Title/License).

I don't see any dealer fees listed, but I have not used the service. It would not surprise me if a dealer tried to add that on even if not part of the program.

Who qualifies for Hyundai Circle Plan A purchases?
Approved vendors who are currently doing business with HMA, HCA, and HMMA and have an affiliated company ID (CID) provided from Hyundai can participate. Friends and extended family of HMA, HCA, and HMMA employees can also participate in Hyundai Circle Plan A.

Note: If you go to www.hyundaithinktank.com and join, I think you can qualify for Plan A. I am not sure if memberships are still open, but try sending an email to moderator (email address listed on webpage).

I have question for this.
I know dealer gets money from Hyundai by doing this deal (they get $250 circle cash back from Hyundai)
But what else?

Do they only make $250 for a car or do they have additional cashback from Hyundai doing this deal?

Advertising fee may vary by region, but in Southest it is 1% of MSRP.

They probably have something "under the table," and we will never be able to find out what exactly is going on :(

but I'm sure they are making way more than 250. even without the holdbacks and incentives.

I don't understand why you would care?

I just picked up my 2012 Tau at Jim Ellis in Atlanta using Circle pricing. It was easy. I tried to get into some of his hold back but they weren't budging and claimed the Circle pricing IS part of there hold back. I don't believe that but whatever. I got the competitive rebate of $1500 for my 2002 Infiniti I35. I started talking price before I pulled out my Circle pricing, they weren't getting anywhere near invoice without it.

we are all anxiously waiting to hear about how the V8 drives, esp how it compares to the V6 and 2011 V8, if you test drove that one too.
thanks!

You are WRONG. See my post above with the forumula. The holdback is 3% discount you are getting.

How does the competitive rebate work? Do you need a trade in?

Care to share your drive out price?

Congrads on your new purchase! Question once you become a circle member do they send you a card or paper to take into your dealer? How does this work?
Thanks

Just a note for perspective buyers:

Don't forget to use MOTOZUMA for your down payment.
Remember that Hyundai matches up to $500, so if you deposit $500 your down payment will actually be $1000. Note that account must be opened at least 30 days before the purchase. I plan to get Genesis in the end of August, so I just created the account and deposited $10 (the balance is already $20). When I'm ready to buy I'll deposit $490 more!

Thanks. That's cool but what if I want to trade in (about 32k value) and pay the difference in cash? Can I save another $500 by opening this account?

Thanks. Can anyone who took advantage of MOTOZUMA share the experience? Are most of Hyundai dealers aware of it? And are they cooperative?

I'm sure you can.
So if total cost is $40K, $32k is your trade-in, meaning you have to pay $8k. If you deposited $500 in Motozuma, you'll pay $7500 and Hyundai pays $500. In any case if it doesn't work, you can close Motozuma account and get your money back, just like in the bank.

This is straight from Hyundai site, so all dealers should know it. Besides, it has nothing to do with their profit!

Info on Hyundai Circle. It taked two being an months active member on the think tank 1st before you can ask the moderator for the membership into the Hyundai Circle. Therefore I may not be able to use it if the 2012 genesis arrives before then.
