As I had suggested before, you may do better posting on an appropriate thread instead of multiple times on threads that have nothing to do with your subject, but has the name Equus in the thread.
I also suggested to go to the section on the Genesis side of the board that has radio/nav issues since systems are the same in the Genesis and Equus.
That being said, since you're already here-I'd also like to know who the dealership is. I'm also quite perplexed because I would think replacing the nav system with a brand new one would solve your issue...unless maybe the software is located somewhere else, then replacing that should solve it (sorry I'm no techie). But this is where posting in an appropriate place may help...people with a lot more insight might read in the "electrical" section.
I had a Genesis with a radio/nav issue which was eventually solved. There was never any time that this affected the driveability of the car. The problem was isolated to the "tech" system and I'm not sure why you would jump to the conclusion that the whole car is unsafe. It's not like you're going to drive across the Alabama border and disappear. Personally, I wouldn't expect any "fault codes" to show up as those relate to the engine and it's operation and clearly this is not an engine issue....more evidence that your car is otherwise not affected by the nav system issue.
In my case, my dealership AND Hyundai were very responsive and things were resolved to my satisfaction. I was contacted by Hyundai consumer affairs and assigned a rep and a case number and we were in regular contact. If you are for real, document everything, have an accurate accounting of how long you have been with AND without your vehicle and research the lemon laws in your state.
