  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For anyone who is a member of the Hyundai Think Tank the summer schedule for the Equus viewing is now posted on that forum. Here is the preface:

Ten Equus vehicles are currently rotating through dealerships nationwide. The Equus will be available at each dealership for two weeks following its arrival date at the dealer. Please contact the specific dealership you plan to visit prior to stopping in because the Equus may occasionally be taken to other locations for special events. Once you have seen the Equus, come back and tell us what you thought on the Equus Discussion Board.

The schedule itself is in Macromedia Flash Paper format so I could not copy/paste it here. Maybe someone could take screen prints and post them. I'm very disappointed as my closest dealerships are in Colorado or Illinois... guess no one cares about Nebraska! I'd even drive to Kansas City to see one... oh well... I envy those of you that get one! Maybe next year at the NAIAS in Detroit!

Re: Equus Schedule Posted

I havebeen a think tank member since March.
I'm VERY disapointed that there are no central or east coast Fl.showings. My closest dealer will beabout 2+ hours away. I may go anyway.

Re: Equus Schedule Posted

Didn't know you were one of the lucky thousand or so who were tapped for Hyundai Think Tank. Anyone else here a member?

Yes....and the Equus will be at my selling dealership in late October (Knoxville, TN)...I'm drooling already!

???
Jacksonville ( OK probably too far North), Ocala, Leesburg, Winter Park, & West Palm Beach are all in Central or East Coast Florida

Re: Equus Schedule Posted

Thank you for posting this up, Vlad! You beat me too it.

I'm a think tank member as well...

Napleton's Hyundai in West Palm Beach! That's a mile away from me. Cool..

Re: Equus Schedule Posted

Well I guess I will wait for the 2010 roll out, the closest dealer to me is over 350 miles...

Guess I don't live in their target market....

Thanks a bunch,Vlad92, for posting this. New Port Richie Florida is right down the street from Land O Lakes Florida. I plan on being there bright and early 09/09.

Thanks again!

I hate how Vegas gets everything. Why must they get 2 separate dates and the Reno/Sparks/Carson City/Lake Tahoe area gets nothing? :(

I guess I'll be driving down to Roseville, CA. I'll be sure to take lots of pics as well as give my impressions of the vehicle in relation to the Genesis. Any special requests?

Since I only had a few minutes with the car and some of my pics didn't come out well, here are my requests:

  • Photo of the engine compartment
  • Pics of the DIS and instrument cluster when the car is turned on
  • Pic of the front camera in action
  • Pic of the rear entertainment system in action
  • Close up of the suede headliner
  • Check if bass on the Lexicon is any better on the Equus
  • Impression of the size of the trunk compared to the Genesis
  • Better pic of the automatic trunk buttons in the trunk lid
  • Check for fold-down seats (pretty sure it's still a pass-thru)
  • Pic of someone sitting in the back seats to illustrate legroom

Any of the above would be appreciated!

I'm going to be sooooooooooooooooooo pissed if Ed Voyles received their Equus and I didn't get a phone call!!!:mad::mad:

The charts indicates that Ed Voyles in Georgia was to receive a Equus on 7/19. I went their on Saturday 7/18 only to realize no Equus on display and no idea when it would arrive ???

Ed Voyles tells me that they don't expect the Equus for at least another month; the salesperson I talked to was familiar with this posted schedule and said that it's absolutely inaccurate--he's talked to other dealers elsewhere in the country who've likewise not gotten a car to show even though the schedule said they should have had it already.

I would love to see it at the Miami Auto Show before it is shown at Rick-Case on 11/18/09. The Auto Show is at the beginning of Nov.

I was told you can look but not test drive the Equus. Not sure if its worth an hour drive just to look at one.

It is for me! :D

Yeah, I just want to go look at it as well.. Sure, a test drive would be nice - but since that's not being offered at this time, I'll deal with it. I'm pretty familiar with the way these types of cars drive. I only need to test drive one before I actually buy it...

One of my local dealers (not on the list) told me Hyundai will charge dealers $60 per mile put on the Equus while they have it. Hence the no test drive policy as the dealers don't want to pay up. Not sure how much truth there is to this...

Where do you see that? I only see 7/15.

Well, that's good news. Hey Frank... where the heck are you? Hit me up man!
