If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. I am looking for a front license plate for my brand new 3.8 Genesis Sedan. The Hyundai dealer drilled holes in the front bumper for a license plate and won't repair it, so I am forced to put a plate there. Anyone know of a cool front plate that has the Hyundai logo with the word "Genesis" below the logo?
Thanks, Frank

I'm in the same situation.... I've been looking for a "Genesis" license plate for a long time!!!!!!

What about plugging the holes with body pins/plugs? That might look as good or better than a front plate.

Just curious....do you live in a front plate state or did the dealer drill the bumper to put his advertising on it? I live in a rear plate only state and I have seen dealers drill the front bumper. I will not buy a car that has the bumper drilled and remove the tag frame or sticker of the dealership as soon as I pull in my garage after taking delivery.

Not sure, but I think my 2010 4.6 has a front tag mount in the trunk. Could be wrong and I have no idea how it attaches if it is there.

the dealer drilled 5 holes in my front bumper and refuse to repair it.

Where do they sell those body pins/plugs? I went to Checker Auto Parts and they don't have it. Do you know where they sell them?

It's important to communicate to the dealer, especially if you're in a state where front plates are mandatory, to not drill the bumper. My dealer inquired, others don't.

These are the kinds of fasteners I'm talking about. They come in black, but you could paint them if you wanted.

PA requires no front plate, so my bumper has three 1/8" holes (from bracket). However should one really hate the holes, then the plastic caps seem preferable to the clutter of the OEM bracket and "Genesis" plate. Holes and all, I am thrilled to not have some ugly front plate spoiling the looks of the vehicle.

A good body shop should fill the holes with cork and repaint the bumper for around $300.

Another good option is bumper plugs - like those brackets above, just paint them the color of the car.

Try Lowes hardware - they have a fastners area where you can find such things. I think its near the nails and such.

So my story was kind of the same. I bought a car from Kansas which, I believe does not need the front license plate. The dealer put one on anyway so now there are like 5 holes. I live in MA, so you are suppose to have 2 plates but no one gives you a hard time if you don't especially if you car doesn't look like a hot rod.

I had to put 5 stainless steel screws in the holes to take the "curse" off. Now I have a vanity plate so I put that on instead. I really wish I didn't have to hide these damn holes though. The car looks so freakin' good without a plate on the front.

Most malls have a kiosk that sells "made-to-order front license plates. Check and have them create your personal masterpiece.

i wish someone made a blank plate with a giant genesis wing logo for the front plate
