  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hyundai Telling Dealers They Cannot Swap Genesis Emblems

All I am wondering is why would anybody pay to have this done when you can do it yourself???

Because there are people who, trying to DIY, would end up shattering the windshield and spilling paint all over the front and back seats.

Trust me - I know some of them.

Seriously - think of all the people who can't check their tire pressure, which is why the industry had to invent the TPM, or change their wiper blades.

For presumably the same reason people pay others to cut their lawns, clean their houses, or unclog plumbing. Convenience.

So I guess with all your knowledge you're the vice president of Hyundai ? It will be my pleasure to prove you wrong about the wing package just give me some time
From one old guy to another, I think you're on the wrong side of this (pointless) argument.

Pointless yes, wrong no . I am getting the email forwarded it to me today :)

It doesn't matter what any email says. They are not going to admit that they lied about the reason. I thought you said you have been in the auto business for 22 years?

When you get a few more miles on your clock, I'm sure you will understand how things like arthritis can disable people's hands, etc. I happily paid my local custom auto shop to install my trunk wings. Yes, I pay to have my grass cut too.

+1 - Years ago I used to ask exactly the same question about painting, yard work, gutter cleaning, snow shoveling, etc. But sooner or later the time comes when you either physically can't do it any more or just don't want to.

There's a debate going back-and-forth about the wing package that's why

I love to cut grass, and will continue to do it with my 1964 Jacobsen until one of us can no longer be repaired.

You can block all my posts if you don't want to see them. Plus, what is an upper-crust two-time Equus owner doing hanging around with us low-life Genesis owners?

One never wants to lose touch with the little people

Thank You... I did lose a little weight recently :)

+2. I've cut the grass, dethatched, etc. for a decades. It's great exercise. But this past winter, I threw my back out (for the 3rd time) and my wife said that's enough. So now we have the grass cut. This issue also triggered me trading my '11 TL SH-AWD 6MT for a '13 Genesis.

But.. I did put the wings (trunk only) on my car yesterday afternoon (with my son holding the hair dryer). Sharp.

I'm surprised by the number of people who see the wings and ask me about my Bentley. Love it.
