  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I forgot how poorly my Genesis is in the Snow...

Does Nokian make a tire that fits the stock rims? (not that you have to).

Most folks recommend Blizzaks or X-ice in the Genny stock size. Fortunately I get to keep my MPSS on all winter

Winter tires are great, but circumstances vary. Climate, typical road conditions, plowing/salting, and need to drive in really bad snow makes a difference. So has tire technology. I put on a set of Nokian WRG3 with a real snow rating, but they can be used year round. Fantastic tire, IMO. Much better than a typical all season yet they are a good summer tire too.

Some people just should not drive in snow. A few years back on my way to work I could see the reflection of emergency lights. As I rounded the turn, the was a woman, about 60 off the road. Not real serious, but needed help. On my way home there is a curve in the road on a down hill. There she was again, off the road.

I retired in the spring. This winter I'm not driving in bad snow, I'll just watch traffic on TV until the roads are cleared.

Okay cool I feel more confident about these tires and being from minnesota where the winters can get very harsh! I will forsure let you guys know how they hold up !
