  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I finally had my Wings, front and rear, installed yesterday on the 2014 Black/Black Genesis.
WOW, what a difference it makes in the looks of that car.

Sorry about the license plates. I meant to blank them.
I have clear frames that will go on the car today to replace the dealer frames.

Love the rear wing, never really liked the front one. I left mine off. I agree though, it makes a huge difference in the appearance when viewed side by side or a before/after. Makes me wonder why Hyundai USA didn't do this at the factory... One of life's great mysteries I suppose

yep and get rid of the front plate too.
Hell with that stupid law.

This has been discussed a million times. The Genesis is sold in Korea, Middle East, and Russia with the wings everywhere (no flying H). It is sold as a Genesis BH380, BH500, etc, not sold as a Hyundai (just as Lincoln is not sold as a Ford).

The reason for the Hyundai badge in USA is that Hyundai Motor America wanted to sell the Genesis as a Hyundai to improve the brand image of Hyundai in the USA, which took a terrible beating back in the late 1980's and 1990's.

We get the wings by buying them from people who go to a Hyundai dealer in Korea and purchase them as OEM parts, and import them to the US and sell them to us. Hyundai Motor America (HMA) does not sell the wings. For 2015, HMA sort of changed their minds on the front wings, steering wheel, and wings on wheel rims (but still the H on the rear).

I do like the front.
Friday noon my wife and I were leaving Pappdeaux's Restaurant, 4 guys walked past, one of them glanced down at the front of the Genesis, stepped back a couple of steps, just stood there looking at the car, never made eye contact with us.
We thought that was a unique reaction and I would really like to know what he was trying to figure out.

Knew overseas got the wings, but didn't know about the BH3800, etc

Haven't read this anywhere before, but makes sense. I think it worked.

Yup, gotta love ebay!

Different strokes for different folks! I don't dis people with them as I think it looks very unique, but I liked the clean look of the hood. If I'm being honest, had Hyundai equipped the card with a front emblem from the factory, I probably would have gone w/ the wings as a replacement instead of shaving it clean.

No wings on the Genesis in the US wings is not available because of copyright infringement with Bentley & ROLLS-ROYCE
