  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

can i convert my 2009 sedan 3.8 hid bulbs to Led

With enough time and money you can accomplish anything.

But why would you want to? HID IMHO is superior, but I will give you that LED bulbs have come a long way in the 15 years since your car was built.

"LED lights are highly efficient and have a longer lifespan, lower maintenance, and lifetime costs. They emit minimal heat, while HID lights generate significant heat. LEDs are more resistant to shocks and come in various sizes. They tolerate cold temperatures better and have shorter warm-up times."

You can buy direct replacement bulbs. I did mine a couple of weeks ago. WOW. Totally worth it. Highly recommend. I used these ones. Amazon.com But there are many available.
I had been having an intermittent headlight on the passenger side which is why I did it. Thinking it was the bulb. Turns out it isn't the bulb. Still haven't worked it out. I think it might be the voltage stabilizer. But, the one bulb that is working is so bright I almost can't tell the other one isn't on.

you bought the D1S right?

I thought I had bought the D1S, but my order says D3S. Will double check the box when I get home. They work and are really bright. From what I found, the difference is voltage. D1S is 85V vs the D3S being 42V from what I can find. If the D3S are working at 85V and not burning out, I would be very impressed.

They are the D3S. I thought I ordered the D1S. I must have accidentally clicked on the wrong one. Will be very curious to see how long they last.
