can i convert my 2009 sedan 3.8 hid bulbs to Led
Do you have AFLS in your Genesis?I used these ones. Amazon.com But there are many available.
you bought the D1S right?"LED lights are highly efficient and have a longer lifespan, lower maintenance, and lifetime costs. They emit minimal heat, while HID lights generate significant heat. LEDs are more resistant to shocks and come in various sizes. They tolerate cold temperatures better and have shorter warm-up times."
You can buy direct replacement bulbs. I did mine a couple of weeks ago. WOW. Totally worth it. Highly recommend. I used these ones. Amazon.com But there are many available.
I had been having an intermittent headlight on the passenger side which is why I did it. Thinking it was the bulb. Turns out it isn't the bulb. Still haven't worked it out. I think it might be the voltage stabilizer. But, the one bulb that is working is so bright I almost can't tell the other one isn't on.
I thought I had bought the D1S, but my order says D3S. Will double check the box when I get home. They work and are really bright. From what I found, the difference is voltage. D1S is 85V vs the D3S being 42V from what I can find. If the D3S are working at 85V and not burning out, I would be very impressed.
interesting, you should been using d1s then...I have the 2010 4.6.
