PINGGOLF
Been here awhile...
It is 3:28 pm in North Alabama.
My father went to the doctor about a week ago for just a good ole check up and a stress test. He was mowing the yard this summer and had a few chest pains that felt like heartburn. Well a few days later he thought that those chest pains could have been something more than heartburn...so he scheduled an appt.
The stress test showed he had some issues on the back of his heart and that another test was needed.
Well, this morning he went in about 6:00am for the test where they go in your leg and put a dye in your bloodstream. Come to find out he has 100% blockage in one and 75% in 2 others.
Now, he is laying in a hospital bed awaiting the doctors to tell him when he will be getting a triple-bypass surgery.
I am a young gun, never had a history of family problems and have never been in any situations like this...even though my brother has a masters in nursing and a wife who has a doctorates in pharmacy. Im a little shaken up here by the outcome. Im an emotional guy and will cry at the drop of a hat...so, needless to say, I have been a basket case since 2:00. I'm scared to death of what lies ahead.
I know there are many who do not believe in the Power of Prayer but also many who do. I am asking that you remember my dad (65) and my family tonight as you say your prayers.
Life is precious and as the Good Book says in James, "it is but a vapor that appeareth for a little while and then vanisheth away." Cherish every moment and NEVER go without saying "I Love You!"
My intent with this message is not to throw a "pity" party but to ask for a plug in your prayers tonight.
His,
Matt Reynolds
